Ok. This is not taco bell. This is upscale, gourmet mexican food in a fast food building. No drive through. No great views. No beautiful dining room or free chips. Paper plates and a serve yourself salsa bar. A patio view of the DMV and McDonalds. Small parking lot and uneven patio. BUT...the BEST GOURMET MEXICAN FOOD you will get anywhere!!! You cant go wrong with anything you order. I am particularly fond of their nachos and salads. We buy the tamales by the dozen for Christmas dinner. EVERYTHING is wonderful. But check it out for yourself, press reviews and menus are available at taco mesa dot net.
Bring a relaxed attitude and be prepared for great food and plenty of it. This is one of the most casual restaurants you will find. Flip flops and shorts, uniforms and suits....all in the same place at lunch time. This is seriously one of the best dining bargains in the OC--IMHO.
Pros: Food, quality and presentation is terrific; excellent kids menu
Cons: limited seating, parking, view....Not a lot of room for kids to run around

Whenever I'm anywhere near Costa Mesa (I live in Calabasas now), I absolutely HAVE to make at least two stops at Alejandro's.
A #4 breakfast burrito in the morning and a chicken burrito with sour cream ANY other time!

The fish, Steak, Chicken & Pork tacos, Enchiladas, Burritos are great. My Favorite is the Blacken Fish Enchiladas with the Wahoo's Green Sauce with Cajun White Beans and white Rice. Yummy. I really like them. The Baja Rolls and Chips with homemade salsa are great too everything is really good.. I wouldn't say this place is cheap but more like moderately priced. Two people (with realistic appetites) can eat for around $10 to $15. Service is great the food well be table in no time.. This place has a very casual atmosphere. And near the beach so you can walk your meal off afterwards. The Manager is really Nice her name is Gabby and the staff is great too.
PROS: Everything is Yummy and save your Wahoo's cup refills .50cents
CONS: you can buy beer

I go to many wahoos restaurants and I think this one is the cleanest. So if you are looking to go inside come here. I am not a fan of sea food or fish tacos, but this place does it right. they are very inexpensive tacos that are of high quality for about $2. If you refuse to eat seafood they can still help you out. They also have a wide selection of Mexican food. I once had a burrito from here and it was very filling and very delicious and it only cost me $4. Come on in and have a good meal!

Gloria's came highly recommended to me by a few locals and boy were they right!!
The food was delicious, the service outstanding, and the icy cold beers really hit the spot. The waitress always seemed to show up right when I needed one.
Definitely try Gloria's when in Costa Mesa
