I've been going to Dr. Prouty for about 2 years +. My whole family sees him now, husband, kids, my parents, my husband's parents. He's known at my work as the guy to go to and I think half or more our staff does. He is a great dentist and his staff is the best.
The other review I noticed here said she marked his office down a bit due to the age of the building, but that has changed. He just moved into a brand new suite and it looks on to a pretty pond with waterfalls. It's so relaxing there.
So here's the thing and the reason why I thought to write this review. I just had a complete smile makeover done by Dr. Prouty and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! how it came out. I had 6 veneers and one crown on an implant along with some bleaching to make the other teeth look whiter. I'm 52 years old and my friends say I look 10+ years younger!! I can't stop smiling! It did take me a little while to get used to the new look though...I can't lie. I was so use to my tired looking, worn down teeth, that seeing these new teeth was...well, weird at first. But now...I am so happy! My friends and co-workers noticed a difference in me, but they're not sure what has changed. I get so many compliments now and not just on my smile. I think having this done has changed how I carry myself. I feel better about myself and more confident.

Great service. The staff was so nice and friendly. I was impressed with the exam. Convenient hours. I was happy that the Dr took the time to listen to what I wanted in glasses and contac lenses. The staff was patient when looking for my glasses. Thank you.

The doctors took the time to answer my questions and did not try to sell me on anything extra (like laser surgery) .
Wait time was short. Overall a very good experience in a clean yet comfortable environment. I don't generally enjoy having to go the eye doctor - but this place took the negatives out of an eye doctor visit.
Pros: Easy to get to, close to 405 freeway. Doctors were easy to talk to.
Cons: A little on the pricy side.

In November 2005, I helped pack and move 3 households in a span of one month. My body began screaming at me in many areas a few weeks later. I was in pain 24/7 in the strangest areas of my body. My elbow felt bruised constantly and I hadn’t hit it. One of my knees felt bruised constantly and I hadn’t hit it. My hands started going numb every night and then my thumb on my right hand started snapping at the joint. I felt like my body was in trauma. My insurance company recommended going to a doctor for consultation and treatment. So, like the good little soldier, I did. I told the doctor about all of the constant pains, he took x-rays of my hand and couldn’t find anything wrong. At the end of the consult, he told me I had Fibromyalgia and he was going to write a prescription for depression medication (how was that going to help me?). I asked him what was Fibromyalgia? He said it was a name given for chronic pain with no obvious manifestations. I told him no thanks, there had to be a physical reason for this pain and I was going to find the root cause.
Enter Dr. Ace Thayer, the doctor who five years previous had cured my constant sciatic pain. Within a few months with Ace’s magic hands, my body was back to normal. I keep a regular schedule with Ace now for preventative measures. I do not hesitate to recommend Ace to anyone who tells me they are in pain. I carry a number of his business cards with me at all times. He is the Ace of my heart and body!

The doctor/owner of this place is energetic and helpful. They take Spectera and will special order frames for you if you know what you are looking for. The same pair of frame I ordered would have cost me twice or more the amount at another place. The receptionist was not very creative in handling special situations. If it is not something she knows how to do, she will just stone-wall you. The nurse does not volunteer to help either, although she was very good in fitting my glasses. So, if you don't get the service you need, call the doctor.

I have been blessed with a wonderful doctor. Dr. Peter Kim of Family Care Centers in Costa Mesa is our family doctor. He is young for a doctor, and his messy long hair will make you look twice, but his care is truly top notch and that of a very experienced doctor.
Doctor Kim treats our whole family. There has never been a time when we come in to his office and feel like we forgot to mention something, or that we felt he was in a rush. Dr. Kim walks in to your room and grabs a chair, he sits, he really listens.
Our kids love him too, he is excellent with them and always explains all that he is doing step by step so they will not get scared.

I have been a patient of this dentist my entire adult life. My parents have used him, since he took over the practice from the previous dentist. He is a good, practical dentist that does not try to sell you on extra dental work or specials, such as teeth whitening, etc. However, he will talk to you about them if you ask and recommend the best course of action.

Very caring chiropractor. He has been in business for years and I have always had a good experience when I have needed to use his services. My mother swears by him and won't go to any other chiropractor. His staff is pleasant and he has massage therapists available as well.
