Although Cal's usually has the item you are looking for make sure if you buy it that you REALLY, REALLY want it because you only have 15 days if you change your mind. I purchased a battery and charger for our camera, which was about a $100 and then found our original. We were leaving the next day for a 15 day vacation. I couldn't take it back and so when I tried to return it when I got back I was told I was 2 days too late. It had the original packaging, not opened and had the receipt. I was dumbfounded. I even told them that I was on vacation. NOPE, they weren't budging. So now I have an extra charger and battery. Next time I will order mail order and skip them - this way if I have to return it I know I at least have the option. Pros: Usually has what you are looking for Cons: Not the cheapest and worst return policy ever.

Cal's has a great selection of cameras, lenses, and film. The sales associates are very knowledgeable and work with you to find the best camera to fit your needs. I'll definately go back!

Whenever I go to Cal's I can be assured that their friendly and attentive staff will have the answers I need. You are greeted as soon as you enter the shop and directed to the right department. It seems like the employees are experts in their field and they always have what I am looking for. So far I have only purchased a lens, high-end camera bag, and some lens covers there, but am very happy with everything. They can be a little pricy when it comes to equipment, but I don't mind paying a little extra for the service and their no hassle returns policy. They also develop film and retouch old photos there.

I’ve taken my pics here before for developing when I was in a bind. I hadn’t heard about the place before, but just walked in because I was in the areas and needed them back quick. The service was great and the pics were very clear. The only thing I would have liked is a better presentation envelope for the photos, negatives, etc. but all in all it was good service.

I used go shop at Cal's before they remodeled their store, way back in the late 90s. If it was related to photography, they had it there. I bought my first SLR, a Canon AE-, there nearly a decade ago. Yikes, time sure flies. I received excellent service from a knowledgeable staff, the product was in great condition and the price was very good. It's great just to have a look inside. It feels like you're stepping into a photography museum with all of the old cameras and equipment, some of which you can take home for a moderate price. A great place to buy any photography equipment.
