The baked scallop rolls are the best I have EVER had!!! My husband and I were on a roadtrip a year ago from oregon to newport beach and stopped by this place randomly. We constantly reminisce about this place!!

This place "hands down" is about the best little place in the OC. Not only does it have excellent sushi and a good variety of Japanese items to choose from it's one hell of a cute ambiance. Service is excellent, Sushi Chefs prepare "Fresh" not premade rolls, sashimi, and sushi. I could go on and on about how great this place is but I won't. The salad I had with sesame dressing, perfect, the rolls I had, perfect, and lastly the salmon sushi, perfect. I can't wait to go back and try other things there. My biggest pet peeve is Chicken Teriyaki...too many places use dry chicken so I'm hoping this place does it right. We shall see. All I know is for now this place Rocks!!!!!!! Get there early for lunch. It was crowded on this day. I'm scheduling dinner with the wife soon. So we'll see ya soon Wafu. Domo

I came to this restaurant for the first time a couple weeks ago and I was definitely impressed! The menu is very extensive and has a dish for whatever you're in the mood for. I tried the Cajun Seared Tuna Roll, which was different than any other sushi roll I've had before, and was surprisingly delicious!! I also got the Pan de Gratin, which is kind of like a seafood chowder in a bread bowl. That was amazing! Definitely worth trying!

the sushi is always fresh here! they have toro and uni at a really good price, too (except they havnt had any toro for the past few months). they also have hamachi kama (yellow tail cheek) thats really good, but its kind of small. great place to meet up with some friends for lunch or dinner. i dont recommend going there like between maybe 3 to 5 because thats when they kind of take everything down from the conveyer belt and there isnt any food on the belts (but you can still order what ever u like from the chefs).
Pros: good price, great food

I really love sushi, and I could eat it everyday. I've been to many sushi restaurants but I rarely go back after the first time. The service at Sushi Island was great, and my food came out very quickly. It's hard to find, but once you find it, you will keep coming back. I had some FRESH salmon sushi, and a DEEELICIOUS spider hand roll, among other items. They have a lot of basic rolls. I wish they had more fusion type rolls, but everything I ordered was delicious! I will definitely keep going back.
Pros: FRESH FISH
Cons: I wish there were more varieties of rolls

This is the friendliest Chinese restaurant I've ever been to, and on top of that the food was stellar. The Golden Dragon made me fall in love with Peking duck lettuce wraps, and I still haven't been able to find wraps as flavorful and rich as theirs. Kung Pao shrimp were also a home run, and my favorite part of this restaurant is ordering family style: a lot of dishes to share- so everyone can enjoy the menu. It's less expensive this way too, so all the better! Finally, the atmosphere is authentic and what I look for in a real Chinese restaurant- traditional decorations, wall paper, etc. but not at all over the top. Great restaurant!

If you're looking for real sushi, this is the place. You're not going to find psuedo-sushi like crunch rolls, etc. If that's your what you're into, you will be disappointed. Will cost you some cash, but well worth it.

I work a few blocks from this restaurant and love the food here so much sometimes I go for lunch two days in a row! I have never had the buffet, but I'll try it one of these days. I have always gotten my order to go, and the employees are very nice. Not a high end restaurant, but if you want great Indian food, this is a good place. I'm getting hungry just writing this, so I think I'll phone an order in!
Pros: Great food, cozy atmosphere, great service
