This is the best hotel ever. We always stay here when in town.
We have been coming here for 40 years. My mom and my grand mother and my aunt all worked here. My parents met here.
It is the most romantic, beautiful hotel in Calif. Can't find one bad thing to say about The Del. Make sure to stay in the original wing and get the ocean view. It is worth every penny.

Thanks to the suggestion of a helpful local, we lunched at Muguels and LOVED it. The Pome-rita was fantastic. I had the fish tacos, which were also great. We'd been in San Diego for a week and had the best service of the entire trip at Miguel's. We'll be back!
Pros: margaritas, service, food
Cons: teensy bit hard to find

My Fiance and i went to the resort for his birthday and we ended our wonderful journey with dinner at this fantastic restaurant. We arrived a little late (close to closing) and the hostess was so sweet and told us she would get us in. When we did get in, everything from the bar to the view was wonderful. We had fun chatting with the bartender before we found our seat. our waiter was great with our order ( we're a little picky) and the food was marvelous. We were able to sit back and enjoy the view of the moon shinning on the water (our table was right by the window.) Our time here was the best spend on ANY vacation we've ever taken.
Pros: wonderful food, atmosphere, service, view...everything

I've said it once and I'll say it again I just can't get enough of San Diego's Burger Lounge! They put a great new twist on the classics and I plan to keep going back for more! From the great loungy atmosphere to the fresh juicy food Burger Lounge is just an all around great restaurant! My fav is the turkey basil burger and I finish strong with the red velvet cupcake! Enjoy!
Pros: Fresh burger experience!
Cons: Being hooked on burgers!

You will truly feel like you're on vacation in this wonderful restaurant with great service, great food and an unbelievable view. We celebrated my parents' 50th anniversary there and had a preselected menu with the help of Ms. Atkins - their event planner. Everything was perfect.
Pros: view, service, food, flexibility, parking ambience.

This is the place for the ladies who lunch. Wonderful salads and sandwiches on the lunch menu and a tempting assortment of desserts and baked goods. Also nice for a morning coffee and treat. They serve a full dinner menu (largely different from the lunch menu).
Seating can get crowded, particularly during the summer, but they will take reservations, or make you your meal to go.
