Located along Pacific Coast Highway in Corona del Mar, Recycled Rags has been offering exceptional used clothing at reasonable prices for 30 years. The owner, Audrey, has managed to create an unique used (slightly used is more normally the case) clothing store that has the look and feel of a high-end boutique. The store’s monthly parking lot sale (clothing in the store more than a certain number of days is reduced even more in price) has been a long-time local event that includes free refreshments and a gift certificate drawing.

Right on Pacific Coast Highway, it's a bit easy to miss, but it's definately worth looking for. The store is tiny but there is a great selection of gelato and the prices are spectacular compared to the other local stores. The gelato itself hit the spot for me. Some mornings they also make crepes. Staff was extremely friendly. Definately check this place out.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Their menu is spectacular, with a huge variety of entrees with exotic influences. The dishes are truly original and innovative, and it pays off. The appetizer sampler is great if you're feeling adventurous, and the flat iron seared ahi is very unique. Try the vanilla bean creme brulee for dessert!

The food is excellent. Great steaks and chicken for the hearty eaters. Perfect for business dinners or going with co-workers after work. The place is full of guys in dress shirts... If you don't want to wait in line, get take out! The corn bread is to die for, and totally not typical, cooked in a special pan. Excellent.

The food is ok. I had a steak and it was good. A little over priced. But hey it’s Corona Del Mar. The band is great. It’s a small place and it does get very crowded. The atmosphere is of people ranging from 30-late 50’s. People are outgoing. You really can’t dance here, there is no dance floor. The bar is super crowded. Cool place to hang out at.

So, when my wife and I had been dating for about a year, I decided that I wanted to take her out for a swanky romantic dinner. I picked Five Crowns just based on friends' recommendations and some Zagat reading. I wasn't completely aware how expensive this place was and my mother-in-law thought that I was going to propose. (Oops.) Anyway, the prime rib is great. And HUGE. Great service, but no 'combination plates' here. You pay for everything you order, and after the wine, coffee, and dessert, I parted with about 15 twenty dollar bills. Ah well, it was worth it, but I've never been back.

I paid over $20K to Terry Salazar at KDM in the summer of 2007 as a design fee and cabinet deposit. I never received final plans and cabinets were never ordered. KDM stopped answering the phones and now the sign on their store says they have closed and the landlord is selling their fixtures. I have asked for my deposit back, but they will not send it. I heard that I am not the only person they did this to. I have been forced to take legal action.

More
Corona del Mar is typically thought of as a high class area. Its pretty expensive to live in this area and is among the many upper class beach cities in South Orange County. So when one hears of "Little Corona del Mar", as far as the beach is concerned, you would think this is going to be a nice area of beach. Boy was I wrong. Of course, its not the beaches fault. Nor the people who live around this area. Its the visitors and their disgusting lack of pride in their surroundings. My cousin and I took our kids to this part of the beach, which is really a little cove, surrounded by cliffs. It has the potential to be a fun little place, especially for younger kids. The cliffs form little caves, fun for the kids to play in and the waves are practically non existent. The water rolls in as tiny splashes, as opposed to big crashing waves. However, there were piles of trash everywhere. The people who were visiting were just throwing anything and everything that they were finished with onto the sand and leaving it there. The trash was even out in the water and collecting at the waters edge. It was horrible. Besides us, nobody seemed the least bit phased by it. The little caves had people grouped in there, partying, and piling their trash up. The people left, the trash stayed. I was so sickened. Is this the norm now? Is this the way people are? They don't deserve to use our beaches, if so. I wish that a litter ordinance would be enforced. It was a disgrace. I am sure their homes weren't much better than how they left these beaches. We later went over to another beach, to walk on the pier and found that the area surrounding of beach surrounding the pier was covered in trash as well. It was shameful.
