as to the review 2 below me. ive been to Napa 29 several times & know the staff well considering my father & stepmother own it. i know for a fact they would never over charge... they are 2 kind hearted people and dont like anything to do with stealing. & as for the service being bad... i highly doubt it. im a waitress at another restaurant myself & know how service should be. & the service at napa 29 is well above magnificent. Also the comment about one of the servers being "STONED"... not a chance. my father & stepmom have no tolerance for this sort of "PLANT" and most likely no patience for anyone who does it, especially one of their staff members that are supose to be pleasing their customers. Napa 29 is a very pleasant place to eat and relax. & the enviorment is wonderful.
Pros: great food, enviorment, & service
Cons: hard to find

Napa 29 overcharged me twice and then billed me twice! My bill was $75.56. Napa 29 charged me $90.56 two times for a total of $180. On top of this I left a $20 tip in cash. So Imy bill was $75.56 and they charged me $180!!! Who do they think they are? How on earth do they think they can get away with this sort of thing? Take cash when you go here.
Our waiter knew very little about wines and appeared stoned (this is not a joke). Don't bother asking for advice on a wine choice because you will no get anything useful. Their wine is very overpriced (no surprise there as most places overcharge for wine by the bottle). We were placed at a random, small table with not enough table room, despite the large amount of open tables with better views and surroundings. The musician was far to loud, we could barely hear eachother speak during dinner. The live musician must use this to compensate for his lack of skill as he at best resembles a karaoke singer. The waiters pour wine and water directly into the glasses on the table so it splashes on your suit or dress. They hand food to you with their fingers touching the top of the plate near your food. They place food in front of you while brushing up against you instead of serving with a left or right hand. Be prepared to smell some body odor.
The rack-a-lamb and stuffed pork were great entrees as was the scallop appetizer and bread. The food is expensive. Expect to pay 33-45 per plate. Bring cash as the management likes to overcharge and then deny any wrong. Keep your receipt. You will need it to argue any funny charges you will find on your debit card statement.
Pros: Food is great
Cons: Management grossly overcharges customers and tries to get away with it.

Passing through Corona on our way to Temecula to do wine tasting thought I'd give this restaurant a try.
At first, I was a little turned off by the location... It is at the far corner of a strip mall and I would have never expected such tasty dishes from a strip mall restaurant. The dishes are simple, sophisticated and moderately priced. The crowd was mixed, from mid-aged with children (although this isn't necessarily a "family" restaurant) to an older crowd. I'm 33 and was perfectly content there. The live music and atmosphere made us want to settle in for a long evening. I would definately recommend this restaurant!
Pros: Food is outstanding.
Cons: Strange location.

We almost missed this restaurant but we are glad we found it. The food is wonderfully prepared (compliments to the chef). All five of us found our dishes perfect. The portions are big enough for some leftovers. We only wish we had more people so we could have tried more of the creative menu but I guess we will just have to go back. The cheese presentation was a great starter and the Ahi Tartare was fabulous. The surf and turf of the day was a filet with U12 shrimp and large sea scallops. This is our new favorite place!

Located in a strip mall amongst furniture stores this is a true jewel. From the outside this doesn't deserve a 2nd look, but trust me when I say it is one of the BEST places for a Fabulous dinner for two or more. Everything on the menu looks great, with a nice Wine selection and many great sides too. The service was the BEST, the only down side... they were too quick to take away our plates and silverware. Other than that it was perfect. They even have live entertainment, and it is GREAT!

Living in Orange County I was skeptical of going to Corona for a night out with my wife and great long life friends but we made the trip and a long trip it was on a Friday evening. I was a little turned off by the strip mall location but that quickly past once we walked through the doors. We were greeted by a floor to ceiling wine cellar. A very pleasant young lady sat us very promptly, our server was very professional, pleasant and informative the service was excellent, the food was even better. We arrived at 7:00 had dinner and stayed till closing listing to the live entertainment. We had such a great time, we?ve told many of our friends about this gem of a place. Keep up the great work. I highly recommend Napa.
Pros: Everything and Everything
Cons: No Napa 29 in Orange County

My husband and I dined at Napa 29 last night to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Although we live close by, we've never dined there before. It took quite awhile for someone to greet us at the front desk so I was prepared for the worst. Finally, a very nice gentleman greeted us and showed us to our table. We were given a great corner booth towards the back of the restaurant which made us feel like we were alone. Our waiter was very professional and polite. We were served wonderful bread with butter and vinegar first. We then started off with the Cheese Sampler appetizer which is served with a variety of crackers, dried cranberries and glazed pecans. It was very good. Next, I had the Peppercorn New York steak with Au Gratin potatoes. Wonderful! I am still craving more of those cheesy good potatoes. My husband had the Stuffed Porkchop and enjoyed it very much. We also enjoyed a nice glass of red wine with our meal which was recommended by one of the chefs. After dinner our waiter brought us a wonderful dessert on the house in honor of our anniversary. A very nice and unexpected surprise. All and all we had a very nice experience at Napa 29 and would recommend dining there. We spent no more than $100.00 for two great meals which included the appetizer and wine. My only advice to Napa 29 would be to work at making sure your customers are greeted a bit faster. Perhaps it's because of the huge dividing wall that blocks the employees view when someone enters. Other than that 5 stars!! Thank you for a nice anniversary celebration.
Pros: Great service, wonderful food, peaceful dining
Cons: Waiting to be greeted

We arrived after making a reservation for my birthday. Of the three women at the hostess station one finally looked up as if disturbed "3 for dinner?" She handed off 3 menus and a wine list to an underling and mumbled "table 12". This person did not utter one word, simply placed the menus on the table and left. The busser left the bread and water, also without saying anything to us. A few minutes later, the waiter appeared and asked, "Ready to order?" Not one person greeted us professionally or made us feel welcome. As to the food, I have had better steaks from Costco and the Ahi was frozen, as was evident from the purple color of the fishmeat. So, let's see - no greeting, poor service, frozen food and high prices... no, thank you. I'll pass on a second visit.
Pros: Great if you're furniture shopping next door
Cons: no greeting, poor service, frozen food and high prices
