More
If you’re looking for a slice of Big Apple fare in the Circle City, look no further than New York Pizza Department (NYPD) in Eagle Glenn. This quaint, family owned restaurant couples New York ambiance with home-made Italian cuisine to create an authentic Big City experience.
Owners Michael and Linda Edelstein committed three years to the creation and refinement of their menu, which showcases family recipes originating from Italy, and boasts the highest quality ingredients. Their passion for delicious, and genuine Italian food is reflected in each entrée prepared by their seven culinary chefs on staff.
Far from your typical California version of Italian food, NYPD features dishes that most Californians would never experience unless visiting New York. House favorite Chicken Scarpiello ($11.95) for example, is a mix of chicken, sausage, onions, peppers, potatoes, mushrooms and pepperoncinis in a light wine reduction sauce. Each ingredient is prepared separately and them combined to create a mix of flavors as well as textures.
Also signature to NYPD, are the large portions, but be sure to save room. It wouldn’t be a slice of the Big Apple if you didn’t try their one of their amazing desserts including: Home-made New York Cheesecake ($5.95) which requires six hours to make, a Tiramisu ($5.95) which is large enough to share but you won’t want to, Cannoli’s ($4.50) with shells flown in from New York, and Apple Pizza ($6.95), a truly original dessert and another family recipe.
In addition to serving up amazing Italian food, NYPD goes the extra mile by being open for breakfast, where they serve authentic New York bagels, and home made baked goods. The Edelstein’s formerly owned “Bagel Oasis” in New York, and know how bagels should be done. Their mission to create authentic New York bagels in Corona even led them to install a custom water filter that recreates the unique qualities and taste of New York water. A measure aimed at preserving the authenticity of their bagels.
NYPD also serves lunch daily until 4pm where you can enjoy either pizza by the slice, or choose from a selection of sandwiches both cold and hot.
Overall, NYPD is a tremendous value and an unforgettable dinning experience.
Patrons are sure to enjoy the carefully designed and decorated dining room which showcases posters from Broadway musicals, New York sports memorabilia, and engages you with classic music from artists such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
NYPD is one of the finest examples of authentic Italian food in Corona, and offers citizens of the Circle City a Big City taste for a small town price.

Out of all the sushi I have had, Wasabi has got to be the best! This place is clean and quiet. You can sit at tables if you prefer or sit at the sushi bar like I do. This sushi is so good. And you get a good amount for the price. They have several specialty rolls and also great sashimi. The people her are great. Great service and fast. And if you go here try to sit at the sushi bar with Bruce. He is the best chef there and is great.

Tom's Farms Hamburger place has really good cheeseburgers and onion rings.
They also have salads, tuna melts, french fries and a variety of other stuff on their menu.
The place is very very crowded on weekends mostly with motorcycle riders on their way home from a day ride.
What is really nice you can sit on the patio which overlooks the little lake and park.
After lunch you can check out the furniture store or the wine and cheese store and get lots of goodies to take home for later.

Its very difficult to find authentic ethnic cuisine in Corona, so we were very happy to see Pho Dat open in our neighborhood.
The food is excellent. I recommend the Pho (vietnamese noodles) and their pork chops. If its your first time trying vietnamese food, make sure to ask the servers how to eat them (what sauces to put on) or it may taste bland.
We never forget to order the egg rolls-- yum!

My family and I love Thai food. This place offers a good variety of
dishes and the price is reasonable. I love their pineapple fried rice.
rad nah, pad see ewe, pred king (green beans with spicy sauce),
and their fried tilapia with spicy/chili sauce. The fried tilapia
is supposed to be crispy, but the last few times we went, it has been
so tough, my father asked if we could order something else. Instead,
we asked them not to fry the fish too long to the point it gets too
tough to eat, and they readily made the adjustment. Our favorite soup
is the tom yung goong (?sp). One day we ordered this and I thought
it tasted different. The owner of the restaurant happened to walk by
(she is very friendly), and I asked her if they changed cooks. She said
they have the same cook. I told her the soup tasted different. She tried it
and immediately acknowledged the cook forgot the lemon. This
was immediately corrected, and with profuse apology. Their Phad
Thai which is what I consider to be the staple food for Thai restaurants,
is dry. It is not very good. The restaurant is always busy (a testament to
how good the food is). There are other restaurants in the vicinity, but
this is the one that gets packed all the time. We try to get there as soon
as it opens at 1100 A. M. Or we eat earlier or later than usual to avoid the
crowd. The establishment has an "A" grade from the department of
health. I cannot say that about most of the Asian Restaurants.

Cask 'N Cleaver in Corona is one of our personal favorites. A casual atmosphere and the food is wonderful. They have a nice variety of steaks, chicken and seafood as well as their soups and salad bar. I love their corn chowder. Their pricing is reasonable and we hardly ever have to wait for a table.

they have good frozen yogurt, ecept it can get pricey. Their stuff is all non-fat, so it is worth it, but some flavors are weird, like raseberry cheesecake. They have chocolate malt, and then double chocolate, adn then double vanilla, i dont know but they do have a good choice of toppings.
