A friend of mine told me about this place, so now when I'm on the 91 headed east, I try to plan a lunch or dinner stop here. The BBQ is mesquite grilled, best tri-tip I've ever had. The prices are reasonable. They have a live band in the weekend. They serve everything on pie pans chuckwagon style. Kids love this place!

This place is really great. It is a little hidden but well worth finding. It is a pretty big place with a large kids game room, live band, peanuts on the floor and a really relaxed atmosphere. The food was really really good. They gave you plenty. We had the tri-tip, chicken and ribs. The kids had chicken. The food came with very little sauce on it. They offered you extra if you wanted. We did not use any more sauce as the flavor of the meat was so good. I talked to one of the employees and they told us that everything is cooked on a large BBQ grill located in the back of the restaurant. It is all cooked using mesquite wood. We were told that even the baked potatos were cooked on this grill and that they used those potato's for the potato salad. Our kids had a lot of fun and we did not feel like we were in a hurry to leave. My husband and I stayed and watched the band while the kids played games. We saw some people playing a Giant Jenga game out on the patio. It was a really big game with wood blocks. They had to pull a block out of the stack and place it on top. It got about 5 feet tall before it fell. It looked like they were having a lot of fun. We will go back to Backwoods many times. The price was great for the quality of food. Bring lots of quarters if you have kids, you will need them. Pros: Great Food, Great Price Cons: A little hard to find

Backwoods has been a fun place for my friends and family to enjoy time together and enjoy excellant food. Dave the owner is alway so nice and always goes out of his way to say hi to me and my daughter. The kids meals are great, I have never seen my 7 year old stuff herself so much when we go there. The food and BBQ sauce is awesome, but I think my favorite item there is the homemade pototoe saled. Yum!! You should definetely check this place out. They usually have live music on Friday and Saturday nights.

I love bar-b-que. Everyone I know loves BBQ. If you have even a small appreciation of BBQ, you should do yourself a favor and have a few meals at Backwoods BBQ. There is a strong country theme to the place, complete with country music and peanut shells on the floor, and there is a friendly atmosphere throughout. The staff is very friendly, and quick to serve you when your order is up. It does take awhile for your order to be ready since everything is cooked to order, but it is very much woth it. You will pay a little extra for all of this goodness, but again, it is very much worth it. PROS: Delicious, delicious, delicious. Relaxed lively environment. CONS: Not open 24/7
