Chili's Grill & Bar

I had the pleasure of dining out several times for my birthday and one of the places was Chili's adjacent to the Coral Ridge Mall. http://www.chilis.com/ We, my brother and I, were seated right away as it was a rainy night and people didn't start coming in until the rain slacked off. The frozen margaritas at Chili's are really thick, just like I like them but don't look or them in a margarita glass because they come in a tall frosty mug. The menu offers a variety and since I'd been out to eat once already that day I decided to go light. I had the Lettuce wraps which was a delightful choice. Here is a direct quote from the menu of the lettuce wraps. LETTUCE WRAPS Delicious grilled Asian-spiced chicken with carrots, water chestnuts, crispy rice noodles and toasted almonds. Served with fresh Bibb lettuce and sesame-ginger and peanut sauces for dipping. I didn't care for the sesame ginger sauce but the peanut sauce was thick and creamy and delicious. My brother had the QUESADILLA EXPLOSION Fajita-marinated chicken, corn relish, mixed cheese, cilantro, diced tomato and crispy tortilla strips. Garnished with a chipotle-ranch drizzle and cheese quesadilla wedges. Served with our citrus-balsamic dressing. This was a huge plate of food. The food was excellent and served hot and the presentation was perfect. Our service was also quite good and prompt. ...for Lettuce Wraps from Chili's Grill & Bar. I've had these before and they are a tasty and lighter alternative to fajitas. They have Bibb lettuce that is essentially the substitute for the tortilla. So you take the Bibb lettuce and fill it up with shredded carrots, Asian spiced chicken, water chestnuts, toasted almonds, and rice noodles. They also have a peanut sauce and a sesame sauce for dipping. Roll it up and enjoy. My DH had the beef fajitas. I did sneak a taste of the flavored beef for the fajitas and that was delicious as well. Our waitress was pleasant and the service was excellent. This restaurant is located on a parcel of land in the same area as the Coral Ridge Mall off of Interstate 80 at exit 240. Next time you're near the Coral Ridge Mall, consider stopping for a bite to eat at Chilis. I think that you'll enjoy it! more
