Katzinger's is part of the reason we moved to German Village. The deli-style sandwich place has something for everyone with about 70 sandwiches on the menu. I love #55 Fred's Jazzy Pita Treats. Of course, you pay a little extra, but the quality of the breads and meats (Amish-raised chicken) and imported cheeses cannot be beaten. This is a great place for breakfast and coffee too. Out-of-town visitors will enjoy being taken there (as my parents did). Expect long waits during weekday lunch hour and expect at least 20 minutes to get your sandwich during other times. Calling in your order is advised.
Pros: high-quality, veg-friendly, huge selection
Cons: busy lunches, long waits

This is the closest you will get to a Kosher restaurant. I asked them if all their meat was Kosher; they said yes. However, I heard from another source that it wasn't. If you eat a Kosher diet, be careful and make your own judgments on this place.
The restaurant is in a sort of bad part of town, near a pawn shop; you can run into anyone. But no ones dangerous. Or inherently dangerous.
You basically choose your food from a HUGE menu and tell it to the people in back of the counter. Lots of Jewish fare. Check out the bakery to the right-front of the door. It is NOT world-class. I do not recommend the iced goods; I do recommend the rugelach 100%. And the un-iced cookies have a pretty good flavor if you're looking for sweets.
Blocks is just plain great. A great place to eat. And drink. And sitting down is pretty nice, too. Silverware is to the right of the counter.
You pay after you receive your food and kind of dawdle around for possible questions within the barred area. Look at the signs for payment. I think they prefer cash.
Of course, I think most of the goods offered should be about 2 dollars less, but the food is great, so I don't care!
Don't just get a plain bagel here; you are wasting your money. Take advantage of the unique offerings. Sunflower and rye, for example. And many, many more.
Parking is ample, pretty much. It isn't pretty going out.
