I went to Capital University for my Master's Degree, and Kodaly certification. I recieved a Master's of Music Education. I really enjoyed the prfessors at this small college, located in Bexley, on the east side of Columbus,. They have a very nice law school, great facilities for students, and it's a great place to be with a homey feel. They have a state of the art workout facility. It is a lutheran based college.

I attend Capital University's Center for Lifelong Learning, an educational program designed specifically for adult students. It is a wonderful college (I have attended 3!). The campus is small and beautiful. The instructors are very accommodating and understanding of the fact that most students hold down full time jobs while also attending classes. It has been a wonderful and amazing experience for me!

More
If your child is special needs, this is not the childcare for you. Discipline issues are met with rote responses, and the staff while they are very caring, and mean well, are not flexible in how they approach children with disabilities like ADD, ADHD, and ODD.
That said, the staff is caring, and they do a good job for kids without disabilities.
The classrooms are darker than I'd like for my kids, and there was always an odd odor...which never went away even after they'd obviously cleaned.
Parking lot is difficult to access in rush-hour traffic, as Sawmill is always packed.

My husband and I, along with my in-laws, recently went to the "Wheelz" exhibit at the Canzini Center of CCAD. It was open to the public, and admission was a mere donation. The cars and motocycles featured were simply amazing! The vehicles were beautifully displayed and there were also other memorbilla from the era as well. I definitely enjoyed the car's/ background info that was posted nicely by each selection. This was the first event we had attended there, but will be sure to come back in the future!

More
Columbus State is a great community college. Obviously, you do not expect a traditional college experience from a community college, but what they do provide is done quite well. They are constantly updating the campus by renovating and adding new buildings. The teachers have always been friendly and ready to answer questions. They have always been ahead of the curve when it comes to technology - allowing students to register via automated services online or via phone.
The prices are extremely reasonable, and they have relationships with many area schools that allow for easy transfer of credits to a 4 year institution.

Columbus State has been the perfect option for me. The staff are all very proffesional and friendly. I have found that Columbus State Community College is wonderful for working adults, or parents, or anyone that just wants a big-college eduaction, in a small college setting. The campus is beautiful, very well set up, and parking has been no problem. The class times, and lengths are great.

ECOT stands for Electronic Classroom Of Tomorrow. This is a online school for children in grades K-12.
My son attends this school online. He accesses it from home and logs in each day to get his work. They have sites that he has to go to the contain his work and even the ECOT website has work. The teachers call here and they have conferences online and they are truly involved in his work and him. They offer many things to do the students and the work is structured and challenging.

More
I was introducted to the Franklin County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, after feeling that something was not quite right with my son's development. We were referred to FCBMR/DD by Ohio Help Me Grow, at the end of 2005. They "provide for children under the age of six who have developmental delays, disabilities or mental retardation." They assess the child's needs, what goals should be met and how, and work with the parents as well. (They offer great classes for the parents, based on their children's needs). My son was in their summer program this year, and is now in their highly structured preschool program. In addition, he is receiving various types of therapy, to ready him for kindergarden.
I cannot say enough about the people we have worked with up to now. There is so much my son has been improving with since he's been in their program! I would definately recommend this program to anybody whose child has similiar issues, or any more severe.
