I had signed up for the pet insurance through Banfield Pet Hospital at the Pet Smart here in Colorado Springs on North Academy. I took my 10 year old Chihuahua, Piglet to get her yearly shots. Shouldn't be a big deal right? Well my mother had dropped her off in the morning for me and then picked her up around 3:00pm that day. She was bruised, shaking and very scared. When I came home I notcied she had a huge clot on her neck that went down to her stomach. I rushed her back to Banfield and they wouldn't let me see her once they took her in the back. The vet said she had a clotting disorder and gave me Vitamin K pills to give her. Once I took her home she ran and hid under the bed. She hardly came out at all for a week after that. She was terribly bruised and I know she didn't have a clotting disorder. I believe that they abused my poor little dog and I haven't taken her back since and never will!
