As might be surmised from the name (Cafe Margaux) the food tends to run a bit toward France (country) and there is a substantial wine list. The atmosphere is also that of a bistro. Wait staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. Portions are large and sharable. At lunch the soup, salad and sandwich plate is often very good. Not the cheapest place in Cocoa to eat, but one of the best.

The Black Tulip has excellent food and service, a reliable standby in this area. But, for the younger crowd, Murdock's might be a better choice. It definitely caters to a more mature diner. We like it because there are certain dishes we always like (the crab cake for lunch, the duck for dinner, for example), there is a good wine list with a range of prices, and the service is good. Margeaux, across the street, is much more pricey and "gourmet", with excellent food, also. At the Tulip, we generally feel that we have had a good meal at reasonable prices for the type of meal offered.

I have traveled all over and still The Black Tulip remains my favorite restaurant.. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. I left Florida 10 years ago to move back to WV but HAVE to go to The Black Tulip when I am in Merritt Island. Daniel is just the greatest host .Absolutely love this place.

Odyssey Pizza is a great place to order pizza and subs from. They are also an eat in resturant. Their sausage & pepper pizza is my favorite and they use only the finest ingredients. The pizza crust is so yummy and does not have the usual yeasty taste to it and the flavor reminds me of fine french bread. They slice their sausage and load on the cheese so you do not need to order extra cheese. They also make great subs and are reasonably priced.

I love eating at Kays BBQ. They are a well established BBQ resturant that is totally family oriented. They have a comfy atmosphere with booth style dining. They have the best BBQ around. They also have seafood and my favorite is their fried catfish. Their baked beans are out of this world and I could just dine on the beans and fries cause they are so good. Family priced too and their waitresses are so friendly and treat you like family. They are open for breakfast through dinner and have a banquet room too.

There are three of these in Brevard. I stop in the PSJ restaurant whenever I am in the north area on business. I plan my meetins to be around lunch time so I can stop and have a slice of pizza and salad. I definately recommend this place. Easy to get to, right off US! and Fay, and great food and service.

They always have a waiting line to get in but it is well worth the wait! Just mention Corky Bell's and I'm the first one to the car. Their specialty is fried seafood but they cook it other ways too. Oh well, it's worth the cholestrol splurge once in a while. Guess it's a good thing I don't live closer. The prices are very reasonable and I can't believe the portions. You will never leave here hungry. The waitstaff is always friendly and hospitable. We will continue to come here and recommend it to family and friends as well.

I don't usually go in for fried shrimp because invariably a tiny shrimp is embedded in a fist sized hunk of breading. But that does NOT happen at this rustic Florida style bar/restaurant on the Indian River near Port St. John. The crust is thin and crispy and the shrimp are large and juicy. TIf you don't want fried, you can order your food grilled . There are various other choices of tasty local seafood prepared the way you want it.
This is a friendly place. You can eat inside or out back where there is a bar and a seating area. You can also stroll down to the river and watch the fish jump.
Casual dress.
