I have been going to Geraci's for over 50 years.....It has obviously stood the test of time. One must overlook the male half of owners......he is rarely there anymore. The food is great....reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly even when HE is sitting there watching like a hawk! Everyone mellows with time.............but the food?? Mama Mia:)
Pros: Pizza, pasta, veal and chicken
Cons: none as far as I can see

The pizza is very good I love the pepperoni. And the antipasto salad is the just the absolute best! they have thick pieces of meat and cheese and the dressing just sets it off. And the garlic toast that comes with it magnificent! I used to work next door to geraci's and ordered for lunch on a regular. They are the best!
Pros: The best antipasto salad in town!
Cons: The customer service could have been better.

Ok here's my recollection of Geraci's Pizza. I used to work there back in the 70's while going through school, so I can remember their heyday! I was one of the guys making the pizzas during the busiest dinner times over the weekends back then. We used to pack them in that place and I am not kidding. Wanna talk about dreaming about pizzas, try having nightmares about having a huge stack of waiting orders to be filled and not burning the existing pies in the 650 degree ovens.
Well time moves and Its been 30 years, and I still find myself comparing other pizza'a to theirs. I took my significant other back to Cleveland to try on of their pizzas and she was blown away by it. She said it was the best she had ever had.
I have found many good pizza's and many mediocre ones and a few really bad ones, but theirs stands the test of time, as my recent trip back proved. It was indeed like going home to a home cooked meal!
As for the secret to their pizza? How does one define any secret, its not any one thing, its the combo of all the ingredients and the passion, the place, the history and the people who made it happen then and who make it happen now.
There is no other place like this, and I was priviledged to work there as one of my very 1st jobs.
Pros: Good traditional Sicilian style food
Cons: Try getting a seat on a busy night

Although I love the food, the service and managers are rude and curt with the guests. I was there for lunch the other day and the server never smiled and the manager looked acted like we were ignorant when asking a question about the restaurant. Very conceited and rude to us.

I have been eating at Geraci's for almost 40 years. I have traveled around the world and now live in Virginia, but I profess to everyone I meet there is only one place to get the best pizza on the planet, a lttle restaurant on Warrensville Road in University Heights , Ohio. Whenever I am in Northeast Ohio I am sure there is time to drive to University Heights for lunch or dinner. Do your self a favor, forget the rest, eat the best. There is no other pizza that is even close.

Pizza was so-so. When I've ordered a barbecue chicken pizza elsewhere it comes with barbecue sauce not tomato sauce, odd taste.
They only take cash or checks and that information is not prominently posted. There is a small sign on the cash register...............a little late. When I called in I stated that I had never been there before, the fact that they don't take any credit cards should have been stated then.
I overheard the staff semi-complaining about a party of 35 coming in, that there was no place they could put them.
Pros: ?
Cons: no credit cards

Tried Geracis for the first time recently and I was impressed. The restaurant is a tight squeeze but once seated it was no problem. We had a comfy booth for the two of us. We waited a bit for the pizza but that was expected during a busy Friday night dinner rush. Our server was very friendly. The pizza was very tasty. Not thrown together like others pizzas that are made during busy hours. The prices are very reasonable. Cherry soda was a nice surprise, nobody seems to carry that in the fountains anymore.
Pros: prices, tasty pizza, friendly service
Cons: a bit of a wait, crowded, no credit cards

Similar pizza to Mama Santa's (top rated) and the pizza is very easy to eat; however, the sausage was average quality. One individual in my party compared it to Totino's store pizza. The meatball sandwich gives you an idea of sauce genorosity and there was very little on the meatball sandwich ($6.95), size average no potato chips (Pizzazz's is $5.50), just three pepperocinis. The meatball quality was excellent. The dining experience at Geraci's dine in has to be experienced once. There was a waiting line of about fifteen minutes and three parties on Saturday night; there was one or two parties waiting when we left. The dining room is about twenty five tables closely seated with nice bright lighting and very enjoyable conversation everywhere; the noise level will rise if you rise you voice above the noise level. The presentation of the pasta dishes and the portion sizes were very good. Service was very good; the restaurant has as much carryout business as dine in so expect to be treated equally to the call in orders. I pity the kind host at Geraci's dine in, that has to work there entirely, as it is closterphobic entering and exiting the dine in area (not much different to Mama Santa's entrance to the carry out and dine in at Little Italy, Cleveland).
Pros: Good food in a unique dining area with friendly service and well dressed clientele.
Cons: Very tight seating with a product that is a bit overpriced and can improve.

The pasta here is awesome, but I go for the pizza. This is one of the best pies I have ever had... anywhere! The pepperoni is out of this world and the sausage is equally as good. Eat it there and enjoy the ambiance, or take it out, but don't try to use plastic, they don't take it.
Pros: The food!
Cons: Cash or check only
