For reminiscing about the days of yore when Euclid Beach carried frozen custard (or so I have heard). East Coast Cutard continues the tradition. The vanilla flavor is tasty enough without any toppings or fancy stuff but if you’re looking for something, try the concrete which is their version of the “blizzard”. Cookie Dough is my favorite! Super creamy, prices are great too!

Here's the Scoop has great soft serve ice cream, and an incredibly friendly place. The inside is extremely clean. I cannot remember if there are 40 flavors of softserve or 60, but they have just about everything. It is across the street from St. Charles, but it may have been turned into a pizza place. While it doesn't have the best ice cream in Cleveland, it is good, especially if you are a softserve fan. The indoor seating is another benefit.

The ice cream here, in my opinion, is simply the best in Cleveland. It is made with real custard, and is more like very rich softserve than any other type of ice cream. There is not a lot of outdoor seating, and no indoor seating, but the parking lot is quite large. The wait may be long at the begininng of the season, but it surely worth it. They even have treats for dogs! If custard isn't quite your thing, I recommend the milk shakes. They can be expensive, but are well worth the cost. A special ice cream flavor is featured each day. Search for their website for more information.

You might not believe it, but this yummy ice cream restaurant actually has very good real food. There is a wide variety from burgers, salads, sandwiches and hot platters. It is reasonably priced and you can usually find a coupon in the newspaper at least once a month. The breakfast meals are also pretty good and priced well.

Have you tried the Moolatta's yet? If not, then you don't know what you are missing. These are a tasty treat and especially if you are a coffee lover like me. This is usually what I order when we go to Dairy Queen. I really like them. I think Dairy Queen has some of the best ice cream that there is. If you are looking for ice cream cake or some ice cream treat then I highly recommend this Dairy Queen.

Ben and Jerry's in my opinion is the best ice cream around. I didn't even know that they had their own stores until one appeared right around the corner from where I lived. That made me that happiest person ever! The stores offer their normal pints and have flavors that are really hard to find in other stores. They also are a normal ice cream store and will give you scoops of their normal flavors plus some that are exclusive just to the stores. The scoopers are really friendly, and it seems like they enjoy their job. What I don't really get is how you can order a scoop and it costs the same amount or more than a pint. One advantage though is that one day a year, they offer free ice cream!! This lasts all day and each customer is entitled to a free scoop. Check their website for the date, but I do believe it is in April.
