The 43rd class reunion for John Marshall High School was held at the 100th Bomb Group Restaurant today. The experience was wonderful and our group has already decided to hold our annual event at the same venue next year. The food was superb and the service was perfect.

Unique setting and nice restaurant. Located in the historic Old Arcade in downtown Cleveland, this is the restaurant of the Hyatt Hotel. While not the best restaurant downtown, the location is very convenient and the setting in the Old Arcade is very cool. This is one of my favorite all-time buildings, and the restaurant fits nicely into it. The food is definitely good, and the service is, too, so give it a try.

The Academy Tavern is famous for its Academy Burger, which is good but is pretty much a run-of-the-mill bacon cheeseburger. The rest of the food is hit-or-miss in my experience. It’s always packed, so a lot of people like the food, but I’ve never been that thrilled with it. Plus it’s smoky, and the service ranges from slow to interminable. Get carryout if you’re in a hurry.

From the outside, you'd never guess that 2527 W. 25th Street is one of the classiest comfort spots in Cleveland. It's elegant, yet completely comfortable. Drinks are affordable, and on different nights of the week, you can hear different types of live acts. Tuesdays feature live acts singing over a backing track of Motown hits, while the weekends feature live bands that specialize in blues, funk, Latin, or jazz. The appetizer menu is small but delicious, plus some nights there are free hot dogs or other hor d'oeuvres. The new patio out back is perfect for Summer afternoons and evenings. Don't miss the special BBQ events!

This is hands down one of the most unique Cleveland Bars that are around in the best possible way. The people that are attracted to this area are generally unique and interesting to themselves, which is truly a reflection of the establishment itself. Depending on whether you want some great Mai Thai's or you want to get a taste of a quality wine bar, you can sit down and hang out in front of the fireplace, in one of their unique sitting areas, or at the bar and enjoy the company of the bartender. This place also has a great patio (in winter I have not been able to enjoy, 2 ft of snow etc), but between the ambiance, art, and general atmosphere I give this place six stars. Also, the happy hour ends at 8p each night!!!!

I go to A&A Comics a couple times a month, and I really enjoy going there. The owner is very nice. I go to look and see if any new magazines have come out of the ones I buy. They are sold at the price on the cover, as are the books in the store. Comic Books are a little different, there are quite a few in boxes for $1 each. If you like to read comic books or manga, I would recommend going to this store. The anime DVD's for sale are a lot more expensive then what you can find online.
PROS: Nice owner, large selection
CONS: DVD's are overpriced

Abbasso has truly the most innovative music in town, with some of the best local and headliner DJ's. It's rare to find a club where you can hear a DJ lay down some fantastic sets in such an intimate setting.
This summer alone has given me to opportunity to hear numerous local DJ's as well as John Howard, Steve Porter, Dan Mnookin, Randall Jones, etc... (And all had phenomenal sets!), not only that the crowds had such an amazing vibe and appreciation which = some very fun nights!
This is the only place I know in Cleveland where the dance floor can be filled with bodies moving until 5:30 in the morning.
If you're into music and friendly people this is the place. (And ask for a Tall Paul---it's the best drink in town!)
