My new career requires that I look my best. As a guy that means frequent haircuts and (gulp) manicures. I'm used to barber shops and best cuts, so I was a little afraid of going to a salon. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and put me at ease. It's really a beautiful place actually. They could use a few men's magazines, but thats neither here or there. After a while I could understand why women love these places, being pampered is kind of nice! The glass of wine helped too. I'd recommend it to anyone. Big drawback is the receptionist-- I always have to call at least 5 times before I get an answer and she is not always attentative and welcoming. It is also a little pricey; however, the stylists are worth it- I keep going back every month! Pros: stylists! Cons: receptionist and price

This is a pretty and lively spa with a very loyal clientele -- but I won't be one of them. I love getting manicures every few weeks. But I distinctly got the feeling that if I wasn't going to be dropping $200 every other week, they weren't interested in my business. My manicurist was friendly and the first manicure was excellent -- the second was hurried and a total flop. My nails looked bubbly and disgusting by the time I arrived home. Also, I saw women all over the salon sipping wine and bottled water from stemmed glasses -- but when I was offered something, I was handed tap water in a styrofoam cup. If you're going to spend a ton of money, it's probably a great salon. However, if you're an everyday gal and looking to treat yourself, skip it. Your money is better spent where it's appreciated. Pros: Pretty decor, Skilled stylists, Variety of services Cons: Inadequate parking, Elitist, Inconsistent results
