Both my humans and I are thrilled that such an incredible hospital exists and is fairly close to home. Because of the caring, dedicated staff at Grady Vet Hospital, I am alive and not a memory. I swallowed a cat toy and it perforated my bowel. Two major surgeries, bandages, medicine, and loving care and I am back to being my happy Tee-Bone (aka Monka) self. The staff treated my humans with with great compassion and kept them informed about everything. They allowed my humans to visit with me, which aided with me healing. Dr. Brown was my primary doctor and and a fantastic surgeon!!! Dr. Swinney was my fabulous night doctor!!! Dr. Grady was professional and concerned, as always. All the techs treated me like I was their own dog. I was there for a week and a half.

I had 2 petâ??s that I have had for fifteen + years die in their care/advise. Sure they say they are sorry but wanting to do tests that killed both my petâ??s is very unprofessional. Just due our petâ??s age and stress they were under in reality no tests should have been preformed sadly it was their time to go; the veterinarianâ??s avarice overpowered their moral obligation. I believe it would have been much better for the whole family to take our petâ??s home and let them spend their last few moments on earth, at home & in peace with their beloved owners of 15+ years not scared getting poked and prodded. That should have been the advice given but it was not; of course we have faith in those of the medical profession with our pets and people and therein lies the problem with trusting strangers, giving advise based on their plaques, degrees & schooling. But they felt doing something is better than nothing & in some cases that is not the fact and that my friends is where professionalism/

Worst experience of my life. They charged close to 900.00 for a bunch of outrageous tests, they got offended when I took my animal out of their hospital to another one, they got offended when I didn't want them doing 250.00 more worth of tests, they didn't get the lab results to me the next day like they promised, (I was advised that they didn't have time). Another Doctor was waiting for the tests results while my cat's health was slowly deteriorating. My vet, ran there own blood tests and found that the cat had FIV and feline leukemia. (the blood work costs 55.00 and results are back in the same day). Grady Animal Hospital was called 3 times on Monday, 3 times on Tues, and again on Wednesday before they would fax the results to my veterinarian.

I've brought my dog here since she was a puppy and have since moved but go out of my way to come here. We see Dr. Russell and I highly recommend her, I've seen a couple of the other vets at Grady but they are nowhere near as good as Dr. Russell. She is very knowledgeable and thorough and saved my dog's life. She is willing to spend the extra time to make sure she's done everything she can possibly do and will make you and your pet comfortable.

Grady veterinary hospital is open 24/7 for emergencys they saved my cats life twice once from an asthma attack and once from poisoning from what we read on the internet about the poisoning our kitty shouldn't have lived but its been over a year and he is doing wonderful with and has no side affects. I wouldn't trust anyone other than the grady staff to take care of my pets.
PROS: great care good staff
CONS: a little expensive but worth every penny

This is by far the worst excuse for a Vet hospital ever! All they want is money! I took my VERY sick dog there and all they wanted to do is run a ton of tests and get you for every penny they can. I told them I didn't have money for all the test they wanted to do and she told me to take my dog home and maybe he'd make it thru the night so I could go to a place that I maybe could afford. My dog was unable to breath well and couldn't even stand and the Vet sent me home without letting me know if he'd make it. I was also told by the help that if I cant afford to care for a pet I shouldn't have one. There was no compassion on dollar signs in their eyes! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HORRIBLE PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!Every time I hear the name I love to share my story so NO other pet owner makes the same mistakes I did. Thank god my dog didn't die and was able to get great care the following day!

My cat ate a hair tie and got a GI block. Before I found out about Grady Vet Hospital, I took her to another vet in Fairfield. I was devastated when I found out, and I was handed estimate after estimate and never really understood what was going on. Overwhelmed, I left without surgery, hoping the block would pass (it wouldn't). I found out about Grady's, and decided I would go there if my cat showed more symptoms. 2 hours later we were on our way. The staff at Grady's was caring and kind, and helped me though a very tough time. My cat needed IV fluids and I was able to sit with her while she got them. She was in a bottom cage, and one of the techs thoughtfully found me a blanket to sit on while we waited. She went into surgery, and it went well. I was able to visit her whenever it was convenient for me (on night at 10 pm, and another at 11 pm- when she was released). I highly recommend Dr. Grady and his staff, I will not take my pets elsewhere.
