The Taft Museum of Art is a wonderful little gem in the City of Cincinnati. The variety of artwork displayed is fantastic, and the staff are very informative. Although the museum is small in comparison to many of the larger museums in the area, it's historic aspects are really nice. It is set in the renovated Taft House, and the additions of the Taft Tea Room is especially pleasant. The quaintness of the museum will allow you to observe all the artwork in just several hours as opposed to spending all day in one location. I highly recommend this outing in Cincinnati!

This is a combination of display of local history and some art work. This museum is set in original house that belonged to Taft, and although it looks huge from outside, many rooms are closed (or were closed to public when I visited). Periodically there are art exhibits that usually don't stay too long. Because of the size of the museum, they are very small. Better off going to the Art Museum.

The Taft Museum is not nearly as well known or as busy as the Cincinnati Art Musum. There's a reason for that. It is really small. It's located downtown so it isn't very convenient. As far as regular exhibits go, they are pretty lacking. They do get some good traveling exhibits from time to time. As with most museums the staff is quite friendly and helpful.

The Taft Art Museumis a little known gallery located in downtown Cincinnat. The main gallery is the historical home while their is an addition off of the back. They offer their art displays as well as travelling exhibits. One of the best features of the Taft Museum are the staff and volunteers. They are very knowledgeable and interract with the patrons. They are very good about sharing facts and points of interest about the pieces and pointing out to my children things that will interest them in the arts.

Taft museum is quite small, not sure if it's because some of the sections are closed off. The house definitely looks huge from outside. I was fairly unimpressed with the content of the museum, but I suppose it does have some educational value. Look for special exhibits which are regularly rotating throughout the year here. Sometimes they are quite interesting, although again, because of the small space, there are relatively few items on display.
