My wife and I went to Jeff Ruby's downtown to celebrate her 5 year anniversary being cancer free. I only mentioned the reason for our night out in passing while making reservations. The hostess seated us, then congratulated my wife. The Maitre'd stopped by our table to congratulate my wife. Our waiter was outstanding in his attention to detail. The food was out of this world. I had steak, my wife had fillet mignon. Everything cooked perfectly to order. No detail was overlooked. My wife was presented with serving of cheesecake with a candle at the end of our dinner. Again, a small, but thoughtful touch. I woould highly recommend Jeff Ruby's on Walnut.

We are what you would call regulars so we love seeing our friends here and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. One thing any person of class would never do is throw a plate at this fine establishment.

it is a bit pretentouis but it more than makes up for it with the steaks and the service. they treat you the same if you are in a tux or very casual. the portions are hugmonious abd everything is a la cart. their 28 oz bone in rib eye is the best flavor i have ever experienced in red meat. I always order the same so i can't speak of other entres. my friends have always been happy with their choices, including the lamb and the dover sole. it is a must if you are in a steak mood!!! This steakhouse has wonderful scenery and it's a great place to go for socializing. I've seen Jerry Springer there, as well as other Bengal football players. As for the food, it's to die for. The Lump Crabmeat is the best appetizer there, in my opinion. As for dinner, you can't go wrong with any of the choices and their proportions are plentiful. Any of the steaks is awesome. Last, but not least, you will not be disappointed in the hostess staff nor the bartenders. ENJOY!!! Pros: Quality of food, drinks, and environment keeps me coming back Cons: The only drawback is that the food is not cheap
