We love this place. We wait every March for the dairy bar to open. They offer great ice cream cones, sundaes abdmalts. Want something different? Try a frozen bananna. They even have a drive thru now!

This ice cream is very rich--a real treat, particularly for those of us who no longer live in the area! Signature flavors are really any of the chip flavors which feature very large (as in practically candy bar-sized) chunks of bittersweet chocolate. Terrific!

Having lived in Hyde Park for several years, the Graeter's location on Erie Avenue was the one I patronized the most. Just a short walk from my apartment, it was a perfect place to go get a sweet treat, particularly in the summertime. The chip flavors are the absolute best - large irregular hunks of dark, creamy chocolate! The sorbets are excellent as well, particularly the peach one, which is only in season for a short time around July/August. Graeter's locations also have bakery goods - from cakes and cookies to homemade candies. Indulge your sweet tooth!

As a chocolate ice cream lover, I believe the choc. chocolate chip is the best eating experience one can have. Cherry choc. chip and strawberry choc. chip are wonderfully delicious flavors that are available as flavors of the month! Peach is great, too! But, all of Graeter's ice cream flavors are the absolute best. All they need to do is offer sugar free and lower fat varieties so that even more people can enjoy it.
Pros: Everything!
Cons: No sugar free or lower fat versions.

Another Cincinnati institution - Graeters Ice Cream surpasses all others. The chocolate chip ice cream flavors include candy bar size pieces of chocolate - calling these chips is an understatement. Don't overlook the other menu items. The hand dipped ice cream sodas are incredible - try the nectar flavor. And the sundaes are incredible. You will never view ice cream the same.

That said, the menu offers more selections than many other creamy whips in the area. One drawback is the popularity, which leads to frequent long lines. The seating is picnic tables on the outskirts of the parking lot.

Graeters is known for its wonderful ice cream that is made locally. They also have a great bakery. We have gotten cookies and cakes there for parties and have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend their iced cookies. They decorate them for numerous holidays and seasons. My children love to bring them to school for the birthday treats to share with their classmates.
