From the moment entering Boca with the dark wood floors, exposed brick, and eclectic array of music this restaurant feels like a comfortable house. The service was impeccable, the drinks were perfectly made, and the food was excellent. Everything from the roasted lemons and caesar salad to sea scallops and chicken were just delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great cooking, fun atmosphere, and attentive staff. Brilliant!

Over Priced, Over hyped, Over Seasoned. We had dinner on 3/15/2008 for the first time at Boca. The atmosphere was very noisy, we could hear the kitchen staff with their constant F'ins. The menu was limited and confusing. After the server explained the menu, we made our choices. Cesar salads, bass dinner and the lamb dish. When the meal arrived, wow the cesar salads were stalks of romaine lettuce over a sauce with romano cheese slivers on top, chucked into the oven. The cesar sauce was over seasoned and left a bitter after taste the 2 limes could not remove, just bad. The bass was Elf portion with a crispy crust the was so salty that it was removed, on the plus the small portion of bass was tender and had good flavor (after the skin was removed). The lamb dinner was very disappointing, about 3 tablespoons of shredded lamb served on grits, with yet another nasty over seasoned sauce. Desert was just deliver to the table, a 50 cent sized chunk of a cheese cake something , a another 50 cent sized chocolate thing, that was very course in texture and a tablespoon (I mean a Tablespoon) filled with cream roulette that was way to sweet, needed to remove the topping. The best and most tasty item served that evening was the bread. At $55.00 per person, no way, We will not revisit this restaurant.

Our server was top notch - recommended great wine to go with our meals and made other good suggestions as well. Be careful what you read, some people are not accurately depicting this restaurant. First, it is not in Clifton, it is in Northside, one of the most vibrant, interesting and up and coming urban areas of Cincinnati. Perhaps if you need everything to be pretty and preppy you should stick to Hyde park and the suburbs. Ample parking in the lot behind the restaurant, not just on the street. That being said, Boca has been one of my favorites for years, even before David Falk took over ownership. The menu is concise and always delicious. Each course is always beautifully prepared and presented. It's our "must do" every couple of months. Its location is part of its charm. THank goodness CIncinnati has a fantastic restaurant in a funky part of town. I've had New Yorkers tell me it's like being in NYC, and they'd never dream they were in NY.

The chef trained in Italy and the cuisine rivals the 4 and 5 star French restaraunts downtown. Excellent dining experience- the patrons are greeted by the chef as well. Boca has new owner/chef and a seasonally adjusting menu. The food is very good but not quite excellent. The appetizers were great but did not get to the dessert menu. Service was very good and the waiter did not try to push us out the door when we finished our meal. Price for value is a little high but worth it to keep the restaurant scene in Cinti from stagnating. The best value is to jump into the tasting menu...you get a few things off the menu for a decent price. Will be back.... Pros: service, parking
