Hebrew Union College possesses a wealth of great teachers highly trained in semitic languages. Where else can you take classes like Sumerian/Akkadian, Hebrew, Aramaic, Syriac, Arabic, etc? Its Klau library contains a treasure trove of books on Judaica and theology. Those without a background in these areas will still find it useful to visit because of the Skirball museum. It centers on the Holocaust with excellent interactive displays.

WUMC Nursery School serves children ages 2 up through pre-kindergarten. The director, Miss Marilyn, is also a teacher. The staff is very stable and the teachers are all fully accredited. My kids loved every minute they spent at the school. The school is Methodist and we are not, so we were initially concerned about that. Basic religious topics are covered such as praying before meals and the real reason for Christmas, but it is done in a very non-denominational way. The pre-k teachers collect data on the students so they know where they are with pre-kindergarten skills. I give this school my highest recommendation.

I could spend days in the Cincinnati Art Museum and not get tired of it. It sits up in the hills of Mt Adams. The building is beautiful and old. The inside is very charming and appealing. Admission is free, which is a huge bonus. They often have special exhibits which are very nice. The staff knows everything and they are always floating around to answer your questions.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced preschool where your kids can learn and grow, this is it. We sent our daughter here for 2 years, during which she was treated lovingly and with great care. She not only blossomed academically, but socially as well. The classes are small and are set up in "centers". Children are encouraged to move from one activity to another at their own pace with plenty of interaction with the teachers. There is also organized class time. The music program is awesome!
