If this appears twice, sorry about that!! I was having trouble getting it to post. I went to Mitchell's Day Salon, across from the Kenwood Mall the other night. The young ladies that greeted me were exceptional. They offered me a hot tea before the night began. I was with a middle aged women named Liz, who was very witty!! She was waiting for me outside of the dressing room with a glass of water. I liked the fact that she realized I was tired and just wanted to be pampered !! Her hands were strong, and she really left me wiped out when we were done. Liz, my massage person, informed me about the shower, which I most certainly took advantage of !! I LOVED the shampoo and rinse that was offered. My legs, the small of my back, and my neck region feel just wonderful today!! She told me about the new spa opening up, and I will look forward to this after the New Year. A very calming evening, which led to a very calming night at home. I love to get my nails done and have for years! I mainly use Sableux Salon and Spa but was sad when my nail tech left, so I tried Mitchells. Well lets just say I will NEVER be back! Two of my friends and I went into the salon in Kenwood for pedicures. One out of the three of us had an overall good experience. My one friend had it the worst, her two big toes were so sore and sinsitive after her pedicure that she had to be careful what shoes to wear. The young girl doing her service was quite and pretty but clueless on what she was doing. My nail tech was experienced and very pleasant but cut my big toe nails too deep on the corners and it hurt! I was asking my tech questions and making conversation about where I used to go for pedicure and I told her Sableux uses Creative product. She said Mitchells buys whatever is on sale and that they dont stick with a certain line of products. I find this strange since they charge such outragous prices! Also the polish selection was awful. They maybe had 20 colors to pick from. The nail techs at Mitchells used a razor on our calluses and I know the gal at Sableux had told me that was against state law! BE CAREFUL!!! I think this is crazy, a company this big should keep a better eye on its employees! Overall I think Mitchells is not that great! I wasn't impressed with the atmosphere, the staff, or the products! I'm not that thrilled with Sableux right now either but at least they use good product and not an illegal razor!!! Ladies dont be fooled by all the fancy commercials........This salon isn't that great!!! Pros: right on time Cons: atmosphere, product selection

A spa should be more than a pretty place to visit. It should provide superior quality services at a price consistent with the quality provided. Mitchell's just is NOT all that it claims to be. I have used Mitchell's off and on for 17 years, and just when I think it has improved, they do something that is really poor. Recently before an important event, they rearranged my spa services and assigned me to different technicians without asking or calling to tell me. Not only did I then have to wait 30 minutes after I arrived for the appointments, but also some of the services were very poorly done. My children have had their hair cut there for 6 years, generally with good results. The first bad haircut was given last week. We called to have it fixed -- 1st time I have ever done this -- and we were told that they were too busy to schedule a redo until mid next week. I had to go all the way up the line of management to get the fix done, and even then the original stylist was unavailable. My other child's cut went well enough, except that we were told that the stylist was too booked to style her hair -- at $36, that seemed unreasonable. Mitchell's is pretty on the outside, but really rough behind the scenes. It is a money making machine. The bottom line is how products are suggested by the employees. The services depend GREATLY on who performs them. A rare few are fabulous, some are very good, most are average, and others, like Liz at Kenwood, are terrible. I would have never written this review except that Mitchell's just sent me an e-mail asking me to vote for them as the best spa in Cincinnati. How else could I respond? If they are the best that Cincinnati has to offer, then we are really in bad shape! Respectfully submitted by a disappointed, disillusioned, and overpaying customer. Pros: pretty decor, convenient locations, lots of services offered Cons: quality variable -- many mediocre, too expensive for the quality received, management not interested in customer feedback

I had been going to Mitchells for a few years, I had my daughters makeup hair and nails done for her 15 (Quince), they did a really great job, but I don't go anymore due to the fact that I have had some good cuts some not so good, and the same with color sometimes it's really good work and sometimes the color doesnt even match the previous color. For the price it should be more consistant. I can go elsewhere and pay the same or lower prices for the same quality service with better quality cut and color. Pros: atmosphere Cons: not good quality for the price

Great customer service, all services provided are done by highly skilled consultants, always with my best interests at heart. They make every effort to accomodate my needs. All of the products they use are of the highest quality, and produce the best results. I especially love the nail and esthiology services. Pros: Great ambiance, products are wonderful, best are the associates who provide the services. Cons: Parking is a major problem-sometimes making acess difficult.

I have been a client of Mitchell's Salon and Day Spa Kenwood for 10 years. I moved here from Dallas, and was very concerned about finding a place that would measure up to the quality of the salon I was used to in Dallas. I had nothing to worry about! I leave Mitchell's feeling beautiful and delighted every week. Everyone, from the welcoming staff at the front desk, to my incredible and adorable stylist is superb. You just can't go wrong in choosing Mitchells for hair, nails, and their spa services. If it sounds like I work for Mitchells, I don't, but I wish one of my girls did. I would save a lot of money, for sure. Pros: Expert services, lovely staff, calming atmosphere Cons: A bit on the the pricey side

When I moved to Cincy from Chicago, my wife mentioned wanting a Spa day. Since it was close to Mothers Day, she mentioned getting her a certificate at Mitchell's, and have been doing so for her Birthday, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, any time for a special occasion. She also goes to get Haircuts, as well as manicures and pedicures as often as she can. She loves the Kenwood location, but has also been to the West Chester location. She mentioned no place is better in Cincy than Mitchell's.

I moved here from Houston approximately 12 years ago. I knew nothing about the salons in Cincy. I searched and read information on all the salons. I chose Mitchells because they seemed to be the quality salon I was looking for. Having lived in different major cities I was always on the lookout for the best salon in each city. Two years later my daughter moved to Cincy and without hesitation I let her know she must go to Mitchells. We are both extremely particular about our hair and not easily satisfied. We know what we want and to this day Mitchells has met the challenge. The designers at Mitchells are always being trained and educated on the latest styles, cuts and products. Their education programs are always evolving. The proof is the constant and consistent compliments we both receive from people who ask us "who does your hair"? We never settle for mediocrity!
