My parents took me there for years. I am 37 and take my kids now. The stories I can tell. This is one family place that packs a lot of nostalgia that your kids actually find cool. They come with their friends and repeat my stories. Their friends think it's cool and you can't beat it for a fun filled birthday on the cheap! Why spend upwards of $15-20 per child elsewhere?

My mom went there, I went there, and now I take my son there. It's just one of those landmarks that totally needs a face-lift, but that may never get one. They have had the same staff for years-that says a lot about a place! I've spoken to the gentleman who owns it-he says that he doesn't plan on dressing it up. It's not the best to look at but it has heart-that's what the Westside is about! I'm taking my 7 year old son there tonight!

Sure it's run down. Sure it's not the prettiest place in the world. But for the price and the ability to have my kid skate and be active and I can have fun with her too? The can't put a tag on it. Western Rollerama is a diamond in the ROUGH that gets a bad rap for no real reason. it's family owned and run so of course it's going to look a little run down. They keep it clean. That's all that matters.

If you want a totally 80's experience on the westside, look no further than the Western Rollerama. This local roller rink is open Friday and Saturday nights and is the haven for uncool teenagers from across the western part of Cincinnati. If you want to fit in with this 80’s throwback of a crowd, you’re gonna have to cough up $5-7/night. Time to rock out to some Tears for Fears!

Western Rollerama has been a hit with our kids for years. It doesn't look like much from the outside with a gravel parking lot and a building that looks like it is on the verge of being condemned. The inside too is run-down with the wooden floors in need of a good shine. But it is cheap entertainment and they make a real effort to keep down the rowdy crowd. The refreshments are cheap with a varied enough menu to eat dinner there. You can bring your own skates or use their rentals. There is little or no air-conditioning so be prepared to sweat.
