Living in Willows, there is not really too much to choose from in terms of "really-good" food, so whenever we are in Chico, we make the Sin of Cortez our go-to place for breakfast. The food is wonderful with good sized portions. Home made fruit compote instead of jam or jelly was a very nice surprise, and their home made salsa is outstanding as well! The artichoke or avocado scramble are my favorites, very tasty. Their potatoes are excellent and fresh fruit is served with each dish as well. Their coffee bar is above most. Parking is great, service is excellent, staff is very friendly and helpful.

Hands down, this place has the best house coffee in the Chico area, period. The food is presented in artistic fashion. With specials like White chocolate strawberry pancakes, you'll be swept off your feet. Seriously check this place out. It is one of my highest reccomendations. The service is great, and the food is so, so good. There is one meal that has the option of a multi-vitamin, or a cigarette. Definetly an interesting place to meet and eat.
