Do you believe that you deserve to be treated well? Do you feel uncomfortable with pushy salespeople? Do you listen to recommendations from others? Did you read the other reviews? If you answered yes to any of these questions you know this is NOT the place you want to buy your wedding gown.

My experience at Suzanne's has been different. Maybe maturity has something to do with what one expects from a bridal shopping experience. I'm 48. Suzanne's was my second stop. Although I have purchased a number of formal gowns at Corwin's, I was not impressed with their selection of gowns nor with the idea of having to look through a very limited catalog to see what they had in the store. At Suzanne's, I described my perfect gown to the attendant and she brought several for me to choose from. I didn't have to paw through all of the dresses to find what I was looking for. Although at first glance, I felt the final dress that she brought was totally inappropriate, I trusted her knowledge of her stock and what would work on my body style. The dress was perfect!! And, it was not the most, nor the least expensive, but well within my budget expectations.
I would agree that the space is a bit cramped. I would also expect sales people - especially those on commission, if indeed they are - to attempt to boost their sales. Duh. That's their job!! Perhaps the Princess Brides need to take a look at their own expectations and attitudes.

The store staff cares a great deal--ABOUT THEIR COMMISSIONS. There is a reason why all these other reviews mention the same issue. IT is true. They don't listen to you and just keep pushing old dresses that are just not worth what they are asking for it.
I ended up going to 3 other stores and finally bought my dress at another store in Chico. I found 3 dresses that I loved there when I asked the opinion of the saleslady helping me at this other store downtown, she picked (not knowing of course) the one I liked best. The amazing thing is that the one she picked was the cheapest of the three. I know that at Suzannes their decision would have been the one that would give them the biggest commission.

You may not know right now how much stress it will add to your overall wedding to use Suzanne's Bridal, but it does! They have terrible customer service and do not follow through with appointments and scheduled completion dates. I used them after going to Bella Donna in Sacramento (which was an awesome store) because I wanted the convenience of staying in town. This is not the experience you want to have when spending $1500 in a store. If I could turn back time, I would commit to the drive and go with Bella Donna. The six times I went to Suzanne's and my gown wasn't ready equaled the time I would have spent going to Sacramento. I'm not a very edgy, stressed out bride, but Suzanne's about put me over the edge. The worst part is that you never have the ease of knowing that your stuff is getting taken care of. Here I am 5 days from my wedding, and I have no confidence that they will have my dress steamed for me on Friday so I can pick it up. They may not even have my bridesmaid dresses done for our appointment, but then they won't even make the courtesy call to let you know to come 4 hours later or whatever they need to frantically finish your work. For the happiest day of your life, you want vendors who take care of you and do not create a sense of uneasiness or mistrust. Suzanne has failed as a vendor in my book and I would not fall into the trap of I'd rather not have to go to Sacramento and use Suzanne ever again.

Suzanne's Bridal has a wide selection of dresses and the sales ladies and Suzanne herself are very nice until you have ordered and paid for your dress. Once you get your dress(es), DO NOT use Suzanne's Bridal for alterations. None of the bridesmaids' dresses or the wedding gown were completed on time as promised. We were given appointment after appointment to pick up the dresses and every time we went, we received the same answer-The dresses aren't ready yet, I'm so sorry. Four of the bridesmaids were from out of town. The bride did not get her dress until 4 days before the wedding even though we were told that the alterations would be ready by the next day. The bride had to stay and wait for 2 hours while the dress was hurriedly finished. The gloves we ordered (which were not the right ones-so they needed to be altered) were not finished until 6 hours before the wedding even though we were repeatedly told that they would be done by the next day. The day before the wedding, we were told that the drop off the gloves would be finished and dropped off at the rehearsal site, but they still weren't finished. We have had a very frustrating, stressful and disappointing experience with Suzanne's Bridal and will never use them again. Remember, they are very nice and courteous until you have paid for your order.

Suzanne's Bridal definitely has the best selection (that's where I finally bought my dress), and I noticed that the sales people seemed to say that each dress that was $1000+ was gorgeous on me (how convenient), and this surprisingly was a lot different than the other stores. The sales people in other bridal shops just ignored me, but the sales girls at Suzanne's seemed to care more about the money I would spend rather than my actual wedding, but I just ignored them. ADVICE: anytime you need an opinion in any clothing store, it's better to ask some random customer, rather than a sales person. A sales person will say that a barrel or a burlap bag looks great on you.

I am a bride who purchesed my dress at Suzzanes. The sales people (including Suzzane) was nice when I was looking for my dress and that's where it ended. After I purchesed and got my dress I waited over 2 months (wedding was 2 mo away) for my first set of alterations to be completed. The ALWAYS said they would be done on a certain day and it NEVER was. These people get ruder by each visit. Do not use them for your alterations, ever.

I am not recommending this store. I had heard that they had been around a long time so I went to check it out. Don't make my mistake. You are treated better if you walk in looking like you have money! Saw someone else walk out because they appeared not to have a lot of money and were ignored. Ended up meeting her an hour later at Corwins Bridal (which is in downtown Chico : ). That is were we both ended up getting our wedding gowns. Hear their alteration department sucks, but I didn't get my gown there.

i found that most of the sales people were rude...and didn't take me seriously. After i was frustrated and ready to leave one of the sales Lady's came out of the back and finally treated me how a bride to be is supposed to be treated, her name was Audrey rose and she was absolutely wonderful...she is the only reason i stayed there and bought my dress from Suzanne's. One last thing though...the other sales Lady's treated her with even more disrespect then they treated me..They were actually rolling their eyes behind her back.they acted like she was taking too much time, she let me try on about 10 dresses (they had a great selection)and they acted completely irritated with her. I feel that when your spending upwards of $1000 on a dress they should be a little more accomodating and drop the attitude.
