I was wowed after dinner at N9ne with co-workers! We had dinner this past Monday night and were pleasantly surprised to learn that it was half-price bottle of wine night, that was a bonus! We ordered appetizers which came out almost immediately! The calamari and rock shrimp are delicious! Although we were at a steakhouse, for some reason everyone at the table had seafood. Presentation on the plate, as well as the taste of these dishes were perfect. N9ne offers a very unique dessert menu with items ranging from cotton candy to smores. This is my new favorite restaurant in the city and I can't wait to go back!
Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Waitstaff
Cons: Kind of hard to find if you haven't been there before

I finally found someone who understands my hair - better than I do! Trish at SineQua Non was recommended to me by my daughter, of all people, which means you are never too old to learn.
Despite Chicago weather, the change of seasons, and business versus casual, Trish has helped me find a way to work my hair into my life. Finally....

This place drips with atmosphere. It's massive on the inside and out; but the patio is where it's at. During the summer it is usually has a great breeze for sitting and enjoying the great food!! Love the burgers. Even at winter, the patio is great, they bring out those big heaters to keep you all toasty and light the massive fireplaces. The froo-froo drinks are killer...they do the booze right.

The unbelievable service, knowledge & comfort of the owner, Kelly Mack, will lead you through a consultation and appointment with the skill and care that surpasses any luxury spa and without the sterile cold feeling of a medical facility. Don't be fooled by the understated & uncongested office. Ms. Mack ensures a calm, soothing experience without the obtrusive waiting room antics. With little effort you are led from a personal, quiet, waiting room into a serene (yet sterile), calming room of both professionalism & pampering.
Far from a cold dermatologist office, your consultation takes into consideration every need and nuance of your skin. A consummate professional, Kelly led me patiently and with ease through my problem areas and concerns.
As a fair-skinned person with dermatological problems since childhood, I've never experienced this type of attention nor care from any medical provider. I now accept the wonderful compliments I get on my skin with ease & grace... such a far cry from the scarred, problem complexion that I have lived with most of my life.
I can't thank Kelly enough for her expertise, professionalism, warmth, and patience as she's opened up a new, confident world to me. I've never felt or looked better. And by the way she is a tentative and wonderful listener... her massages have eased my tension and stress - and subsequently my migraines. In all my travels and places I've lived in this country, I couldn't recommend anyone else to you for skin care. Kelly surpasses all others and at a reasonable price.
Pros: Service, comfort, professional skin care w/o the pretense
Cons: None! Just remember to book your next appointment!

I just visited Continuum for the first time. I saw DeAnna for my waxing treatments. She was great - very friendly, took the time to explain what she was doing and why, and made sure I was happy with everything. She also offered plenty of advice on skin care, but without pushing products on me, as I've had happen at other places in the past. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be returning.

Let me start with the best part: I ordered the filet medallions oscar and I COULD CUT IT WITH A BUTTER KNIFE! I have had meat that tender only one other time in my life. This was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Okay... now from the beginning...
We made reservations with 3 hours noticed and were seated at the time of our reservations. There wasn't much space to sit or gather but the host staff was very friendly and did offer the bar area for seating early. Our table was around the border of the dining room, which is square in shape with a raised border section over the lowered middle. We had a nice view of the bar and our table was perfect for 'people-watching'.
We each ordered flights of wine. I had the progressive and my fiance had the whites. The amount of wine in each glass was very generous - about a half a glass - and much more than the "shot" of wine that I have had in flights in the past. One of us had the barbecue chicken dish and the other had the filet medallions oscar. The medallions were SO tender and the portions were perfect. The filet was ordered rare, and a truly good rare seems to be hard to come by. Wildfire got it right. Other restaurants give you meat slightly well done and others seem to hand you something that isn't even warmed and somehow still frozen. This was a truly enjoyable cut and cooked filet.
The service was prompt. Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible. Just good, courteous service staff.
For me personally, I will go back again for one of the best steaks I've ever had.
Pros: location, price (relative), generous flights of wine, ambience, try the filet
Cons: few seats in the greeting area

This place is the best sushi I ever tasted the service is great and fast, the sushi is prepared quickly than any other sushi place where it takes 20min for one order. The place is amazing although the space is limited the ambience is relaxing and casual. The sushi the "godzilla" is my alltime favorite.
Pros: The sushi
Cons: Reservations during dinner time is a must

The Field Museum is more than a storehouse for biological and historical items; it's a place to learn without feeling like you're being instructed. The exhibits are really well put together, from shoes to dinosaurs.
Be sure to see the King Tut exhibit, open through January 2007. Admission extra.
City Pass saves you 50% on regular admission.
A good trip for families, friends and, of course, school groups.
