This is a great bar with the widest variety of beers on tap. It is always a fun time to grab a drink after work or spend the night out with friends. I always have the best time here and the staff and servers are very friendly and attentive. The best part is you can order a boot full of beer! It is an enormous glass that everyone can pitch in for and share! If you are going out, you will not be disappointed if you stop in!

Of the many hookah/restaurant places I've been to, this is quickly becoming one of my favorites if only because of the late hours, the selection of food, and the amazing entertainment on the weekends. Their weekends start on Thursdays and go through Saturday night and there is a minimum $25 charge per person, done like credit so you can get anything. Their selection in hookah is limited to about 12 flavors but their hookah prices are one of the cheapest in Chicago at $10 per hookah.
The location is not your typical hookah bar with secluded tables covered by hangings. The room is very open with large tables that are close together. On weekends, they dim the lights, have a band, and a belly dancer. On weekdays, they have much brighter lighting and it feels more like a restaurant than a hookah bar. Their food is delicious.
The only real complaint is that I am not impressed with their speed. If you are going here, you will wait awhile to get your hookahs but they are very full and last awhile. Plan on spending a couple hours here if you decide to go. Nice thing is that if you have an issue with the food, hookahs, or anything else, the management is very good about addressing it.
Pros: Good price, good food
Cons: Slow service

As an Israeli, I must say I really like this place. You walk straight into a large dining area, but are made to feel very much at home with the warm, friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. As for the food, I've had hummus and eggplant salad (a.k.a. baba ganoush) on numerous occasions, and it's always been terrific. The falafel sandwich is also pretty good (and for such a low price) and the shawarma is very good - tender meat seasoned just right. The last time I was here I ate dinner with an Israeli friend, and we ordered the Vegetarian Combo Plate. We both thought the falafel was amazing (absolutely perfect in its crispness on the outside and tenderness on the inside), the grape leaves, too, were excellent (and I am usually not crazy about stuffed grape leaves). The mutabble was great. The hummus was surprisingly not as good as the hummus I had had here on various other occasions, but it was all right. We also had the baba ganoush plate - the eggplant had obviously been roasted on a fire, and it could stack up against any I'd had anywhere in Israel. The Kibbeh was good. The Jerusalem salad was made fresh with crisp vegetables and drowning in tahini. We shared a Shish Kabab Lamb plate - tender grilled meat served with seasoned rice and grilled vegetables; it was all very tasty and satisfying. We paid $23 (including tax) for the both of us (and for plenty of leftovers to take back home). The free cinnamon tea, made with cinnamon sticks (wonderful!) kept on flowing, the service was attentive, and we both enjoyed ourselves immensely. What's not to like about a restaurant with a convenient location, good food, such reasonable prices, hospitable service, interesting decor, and a laid-back atmosphere? Not to mention the terrific free tea. People complaining about the slow service - well, everything is made from scratch, which takes time: this isn't fast food. I truly recommend Habibi for a pleasant Middle Eastern dining experience in Roger's Park.
Pros: great prices, very good food, Middle Eastern hospitality, excellent location
Cons: some people might say, "takes too long to bring food." I say, "this isn't a fast food joint."

Don't listen to the haters--this place is great! I was really excited when I heard it was opening because I've been craving a frozen dessert that wasn't too sweet. I finally made it down there today. Anyone who's familiar with the Pinkberry phenomenon should recognize the setup--mod style, punchy colors, well-edited selection, etc. The staff was really friendly and the yogurt was delicious. I got the original yogurt which was nice, not too sweet, a little sour but not aggressively tangy. The texture was somewhere between soft serve and sorbet, which I liked. I got raspberries as my topping and they were very fresh. The service was very friendly although they seemed to be working out the kinks with their offerings still (they had strawberry-banana as one of their flavors but it wasn't on the sign). All in all it's a refreshing frozen yogurt option for people who are tired of super-sweet stuff.

It's a shame that more people haven't discovered this great resource in Chicago. I attended a party hosted by Parties That Cook for a family member's birthday. It was one of the greatest parties I've ever been to! The staff is helpful, entertaining, and incredibly knowledgable. I would definitely consider this for my own party.

Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm...I really like pizza, so I decided to give Route 66 a try, recommended by my sister. ***Sandra*** took my order, which made the decision to try Route 66 a no-brainer. She was very friendly & helpful, taking time to make suggestions for this novice. The menu was somewhat limited (Sandra, where's my Route 66 menu?), but maybe that will change. I ordered the hand-tossed style w/sausage, pepperoni, & mushrooms. The sauce had a somewhat thick consistency & the cheese was just the right amount (maybe a little more...I like cheese), but it was soooooo good. The mushrooms were the best & the sausage was so meaty. I will be calling them again, for my fix. Thanx Sis.

Though this was my first experience with Persian or Iranian food, I was quite impressed. I have had Afghani food on a number of occasions and was expecting basically the same thing; I was pleasently suprised to find a great deal more variety, and though many of the dishes were remeniscent of what I had had, the flavour profiles were very different. For those of us not familiar with the cuisine, the service is exceptionally helpful. All of the food was very well prepared and the prices were, importantly, very reasonable, better than at many other Far North ethnic eateries. The only disappointment was with the Persian ice cream. Based on previous experience with Afghani rosewater ice cream, and the quality of the meal to that point, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it appeared that instead of making the ice cream themselves from scratch, they take rather inferior 'vanilla' and then mix in rosewater and other additions. The result is not so much to improve the original vanilla, but to lend the grainy texture of frozen rosewater crystals. Overall, though, I would highly recommend Masouleh as a great introduction to a cuisine that remains far too foreign in this country.
Pros: Food, Helpful service
Cons: Ice cream, Parking
