a great place to get a cheap backpack. You can find all kinds of nifty things if you go camping a lot. You can get loss in this store since it is pretty big. If oyu are into knives and such thye have it here too all army grade. Some maybe cheaper than others. Only drivig there since there is no parking what so ever. Your better of taking the train and getting it of at belmont since then you would be right there.

Belmont Army Surplus has been happily catering to the needs of punks, hipsters, and even regular ol' folks who just want a cheap deal on vaguely military looking clothing for decades. A friend bought a surplus greatcoat here before - I have no idea which war or era it was designed for, but it seemed to keep him reasonably warm even in Chicago winters, which is always good. Worth a stop by if you're in the Belmont shopping stretch. As an aside, Belmont, Clark, and Halsted seem to have the largest concentration of independent retailers in Chicago. Good to visit especially since the rest of the city has been overtaken by big box shops.

This is store is big and have lots of items and new and used clothes to chose from..anything related to the army is located in this store,also sell patches,boots,and various freeze dried food there..they also new and used camping gear and some it is very reasonable,gotta look for the deals though. staff is friendly and willing to help find things,if there is something particular that you are looking for and they don't carry it,they will suggest stores to find what your looking for.
