Neighborhood movie houses like the Davis Theatre are becoming like entertainment dinosaurs, but locals are fortunate that the Davis is still around. It is not the cleanest or loveliest of movie theaters, but it somehow has a bit of character that is completely missing from the sterile multi-screen suburban complexes. They have four screens and show a decent selection of films.

I don't know the exact year the Davis was built, I can guess and say around the 40's. It is a vintage theatre that still thrives and shows first run films. They converted it from one giant screening room to 4 small ones. The sound is not that great, the screens are not so hot, but I am still drawn here once in a while because I find old theatres very charming and find that they have alot of personality that the giant cineplexes don't have. This is also a family run operation.
