Pizza is pizza folks, and my taste buds just aren't mature enough to tell the difference between every single on of the choices. Bacino's is good, and if a friend is paying, I'm there. I mean, it's not my first choice or anything, but I certainly enjoy a slice of their Chicagoish cheesy pie. Nothing too special about Bacino's, but nothing bad either. Pretty run of the mill.

Although Bacino's self-advertises as "heart healthy," I don't really see how a chunk of dough, cheese, and meat can be good for you. Still, Bacino's serves up fantastic Chicago-style pizza, pasta, and some surprisingly complex appetizers. The dining room isn't huge, but the servers are friendly and prompt. One of my favorites in the city.

I was really surprised by Bacino's. Although my husband put it in the same category of restaurants as Giordano's and Lou Malnotti's, I was really impressed by the gourmet appetizer selection. We ordered prosciutto-zucchini and goat cheese selection drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and it was simply divine! Service was friendly, though casual, and I'd definitely go back again.
