I am completely smitten with Nordstrom Rack on State St. in the Loop. It is the perfect place to find great deals on things you desperately need that would cost a fortune elsewhere, such as bath products, houseware, and best of all: SHOES. Not to brag, but last time I went, I found a to-die-for pair of leopard faux-fur BCBG wedges (originally over $100) marked down for $40something. I tried them on and they fit like heaven, so I could not resist taking them home with me. When I got to the check-out counter, I was informed that all items with a pink sticker were marked down an extra "whatever" percent, and I ended up getting the fabulous shoes for only $24. I have also gotten, in the past, Steve Madden sneakers for only about $20 and Diesel heels for only $42. Aside from shoes, they also have an excellent collection of underwear... DESIGNER underwear, for only about $1.50 - $2.00 each. How can you say no to deals like that?

I like to shop here. While Nordstrom is one of my favorite department stores, their prices I can't say the same for. So this store gives me a good break, because I can get the same quality items, but for a much better price. I like the way this store is well organized and things are arranged and organized here. It really doesn't have that discount store feeling to it. I have found many great deals here and deals that have been for the entire family too!

I'm always shopping for designer duds at not so designer prices, so this place was a frequent stop for me. But I realized that this place is really random. Sometimes I was able to ifnd a good bargain or two and other times I was left amazed at the so called "bargain" prices. Now I dont really go here all that much just becasue I have found that smaller resale shops in the city are probably better bets for good deals. Try Recycle for instance for some good deals on designer wear.
