Briar Street Theater has been running the classic Blue Man Group performance so long, it's become rare to meet anyone in Chicago that hasn't seen this show. That said, this fun production is different every time in that the blue men always choose audience members to participate. This is a fun place to take out-of-towners who don't think they'll like theater. Surprise them with this fun show, and watch their enthusiasm afterward. The blue men walk around the lobby after the show, which is a thrill for kids in the audience; they can see those strange guys up close. You'll wonder, too, just how do they get and keep that blue stuff on?

Do you know how long this show has been playing here? Well, I'll give you an idea...I think Joan Rivers had her ORIGINAL face when they started! Yup, it's been that long. The show is unbelievable. I have never been to a theatrical production that had me amused, amazed and impressed all at the same time. Fascinating. You have to go experience this at least one time.

How long has Blue Man Group been running at this theatre, 40-50 years (lol)?Seriously is it about ten years? I saw the show; I laughed and I was also amazed at the talent these blue, alien like folks have. Their fast pace show is filled with lots of surprises, lots of colors, sounds, music and madness. The theater itself is not all that large and with a show like this they keep you on the edge of your seat. Not a bad seat in the house.

I've seen Blue Man Group 7 times in the past six years. I love it. I've ushered - it's fairly easy to get usher spots if you call in advance. The show has changed slightly over the six years - keeping it fun. The tickets are a bit expensive, but worth it. I'd avoid spending extra for the "Poncho" section - every seat in this theater is a good one.

I saw this a long time ago, but it was so much fun. There was a part in the performance where they had everyone throwing toilet paper. Yes, this is a strange show. One of the problems with this place is that it is in the center of Lakview, which means that the parking is terrible. They only have a small parking lot, and the theater can seat a lot of people. There is a parking garage a block away next to the multiplex. Anyone in the area will be able to direct you.

Looking for a good, fun, relaxing night out??? Head over to Briar street theater, you won't be sorry. I went & visited the theater, to see the blue man group. I really enjoyed it, as well as the other that attended it with me. Wonderful stunts, with audiences participation. It's just a remarkable show, with laughing & enjoyment listening to the music that they play. I just love those guys, their show really rocks!!!!!

This is a really fun show for teenagers, young adults or older adults that have a crazy sense of humor. This show is really interesting, funny and enjoyable. It is about three men covered in blue paint that sue all of these painting activities and humorous skits. They never talk but their actions speak louder than words. I laughed so hard my cheeks were hurting. I took my husband for his birthday and he really enjoyed it. It is a must see at least one in your life. They also have shows in other states.

Blue Man Group is different, and strange and fun! It features 3 men, covered in blue paint, who never talk, but exhibit their skills at painting, cutting twinkies, and catching marshmallows in their mouth. The first 5 rows get a little messy. The strobe light at the end gets a little intense!

We went to this theater to watch Blue Man Group perform. wow! This show may not be to everyone's liking. If you want to experience a different, fun night out, you have to go see them. Its music, dance, and bizarre comedy all in one- no one word to describe it. Highly recommended!
