It was a pretty good show - basically it's an hour and a half of people acting (and supposedly singing) like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Joey Bishop.
We were given accessible seats in the theater, but they weren't that accessible. We had to get my wife out of the wheelchair and into a seat because the wheelchair could not be maneuvered into a view of the stage.
I did enjoy the show. it was written by Sandy Hackett, son of the late Buddy Hackett. Sandy portrayed Joey Bishop. The best voice belonged to the actor who portrayed Sammy Davis. The actor portraying Sinatra had a solid voice and was pretty good with the mannerisms. I didn't like the Dean Martin actor. he didn't have much of a singing voice and it seemed like the part he was portraying wasn't really singing seriously.
The Joey Bishop part wasn't all that funny, but sometimes Joey wasn't all that funny.
The instrumental musicians were wonderful.
So, we all hgad a very good time. Having the cast shake hands with the attendees on the way out was a bonus.
It was a pretty sparse crowd (maybe 40% full, not including the balcony) for a name Chicago theater on a Saturday night.

On Easter, I bought tickets for my family to see the current production of the "Rat Pack" Tribute show. While I was entertained, it left me feeling a little sad inside. I guess I was spoiled because my mom took me to see the REAL thing (Frank, Sammy and Dean) when I was in my 20's and I grew up loving and appeciating their music and talent.
This show was good and they work really hard to entertain you, but there are a couple problems First the good news: the man who played Sammy Davis Jr. (for me) was the shining standout, but the guy who played Sinatra, although a good singer, lacked the charisma and style to really pull it off. The man who played Dean Martin seemed like a nice guy, but he was just way too over the top in his portrayal of ol' Dino. People may also be slightly offended by the antics of Sandy Hackett (the late comedian Buddy Hackett's son) who portrays Joey Bishop. Although some bits were very funny, Sandy can be unlikeable at times with his shtick.
There are some folks who may really enjoy the show, but overall, I can only give it a marginal thumbs up. Of course the music is wonderful and it will bring back some nice memories (especially for seniors). I did, however, love the little theater and the view (all seats in the auditorium are excellent).

I don't know where they named this small theater the Royal George. It makes you expect a place with much more decorations, ambience and charm. The main theater room is where we recently saw a production. The performance was good, but I will limit my review to the theater itself. The main room is kind of bland with very limited decor. I feel the prices are too high for tix also and the staff was just OK. They were not rude, but should have beem much more welcoming overall. I was blessed to find street parking, otherwise their lot is valet parking for $10.
