My family and I have been eating at this place for 20+ years,on a first name basis. The best Thai food anywhere, and we've been to all of them,we love Thai food(spicy)we try all different ones to get a new one close to home,we live in NW suburbs, and the drive is long, but worth it.Yen Ta Fo soup is very good, can't find it anywhere else.parking is a challenge, but we always find a spot close by.they opted to not renew the liquor license,so bring your own.I like that better anyway.not fancy at all ,but cozy, enjoy the food and service!

Tie Me Up Noodles was the critics' favorite for years, and there's no surprise why. Best known for being the best place in Chicago for authentic style thai food, you can walk into the restaurant with confidence that you need not order the typical "chicken pad thai" or "green curry" to find something wonderfully delicious and utterly satisfying.
Their lunch special outweights any other in Chicago: for less than $6, you get to indulge in an appetizer and an entree. And their waitstaff (I usually end up getting the same guy) is humble, kind, and accomodating.
Try the lime chicken dish and I guarantee you'll keep coming back. That stuff is dangerous! (And they know it.)
Pros: Friendly service, Served up quick, Lunch specials

Whenever I crave sushi I often crave thai food and vice-versa. I've been going to Thai Oscar for about 6 years now and everything is always wonderful. Their food are in good portions at a good price. I also enjoy their thai drinks, especially their thai iced coffee. The menu is pretty extensive, and I've always been satisfied with my thai dishes [I've never ordered Japanese dishes]. My boyfriend is especially found of their curry dishes. This is a great restaurant so you should check them out! Oh, they also have BYOB which I know makes a lot of people happy!

I have been to several Thai restaurants in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Needlesstosay, Rosded is hands down the best thai out there. On a quiet storefront located in Lincoln Square, you may just pass by without even noticing it. The ambience leaves little to write home about, but the food quality stands second to none. Try the pad thai, I can't find a better tasting dish anywhere else. The panang curry is very good, as well as the spring rolls and chicken satay. Everything is fresh and made for the traditional Thai palate. The prices are very reasonable and seating prompt. Parking available in a lot across the street. What a great restaurant, truly one of the hidden gems in Chicago.
Pros: Fresh food, low prices

More
Despite its location in a strip mall, this place has the best, and Thai-est Thai food of any place I've been in the city. My Thai students and friends swear by it.
The su-ki-ya-ki (NOT the Japanese food, but a spicy noodle soup) can't be beat. The som tum (papaya salad) is great. If you've had versions elsewhere, be prepared for the real thing: it's tarter and much spicier than you'll find at Americanized places in Lakeview or Lincoln Park.
The pad thai, however, the one time I had it was not up to snuff.
If you're not used to spicy food, you might want to choose carefully. Here, at Thai Super Chef, even one chili symbol on the menu means it's genuinely peppery.
Pros: Spicy food, Good service, Great value
