We visited Agami for the third time on the Thursday after Christmas, and remain impressed with this great place. The editorial review is old - they do have their liquor license and have a good selection of sakes. The waitress also let us sample some of the names we weren't familiar with before we picked a bottle.
Their fish is excellent, especially compared to other nearby spots. They serve very fresh, very good-size cuts of nigiri, with very little rice and wasabi. It's a much more genuine experience than other places, which have only rolls and nasty fish. The ambience is great, especially the big red booths up front, though next time we'll probably sit next to the sushi bar to talk to the chefs.
We finished our meal with some tamago and a little bottle of sparkling sake. It was fantastic and we will definately be back soon!
Pros: Exceptional fish, focus on 'real' sushi, great sake, fun ambience

We visited the old Aria bar which was very nice and the very next day were astonished to see that it was entirely torn apart for remodeling. When we returned it was an entirely new bar which looked great. It has a sushi bar that looks pretty good, we haven't tried it... yet. This is definitely a great people watching place and has many interesting spots to sit and talk. The waitresses are prompt and friendly. And on this visit we had a waitress when had served us before in the Fairmonts reception/lounge area. Unfortuantely we cannot remember her name, but she was really nice and attentive. And she knew her wine list, she was able to give a good description of and recommendations of the various wines.
Pros: Great people watching, after work, before/after dinner spot

I have been eating at this sushi place for 3 years now and love it just as much if not more every time i go. The food is great. I stick mostly to maki rolls but have also had the sashimi and nigi which are great. I also have had their teriak dinner and undon noodle dishes that are delightful. All their portions are very generous. The miso soup and app. ginger salad are fantastic and get you warmed right up! Besides the sushi, the company is great. It is a family owned and operated place. The hostes/server/owner Lee is always there to greet you with a smile and a "see you tomorrow" and her husband Jesse is the master behind the sushi! His sister Lillia is the charming lady/server who always loves to talk to you:) Exceptional food and exceptional company.
Pros: sushi, service, portions
Cons: parking can be an issue. also closed for weekend lunch and btwn 230-5

Delivery service isn't something I would try for sushi, but I ate at Blu Coral a couple of times and loved their selection. I was stressed from work and decided to have some of that food come to me this time. I'm not too far from the place and so delivery was fast and the food was still fresh. The only bad part was all the work I had to do that night. Good stuff.
Pros: Tasty food, fast delivery

The sushi places in Chicago just don't end. But this place in Wicker Park is defintely one that sticks out for me at least. The sushi here is amazing and always really fresh. I never go by their actual standrad menu, but always ask for the house specialties. Those are the ones to have because they are given extra love and attention and their fantastic taste definitely shows that! Its not the most inexpensive sushi in the area, but it is good. Also, this restaurant is BYOB so that saves a bit on the bill too.
