This busy restaurant and market is well known for their cupcakes. My wife's favorite is white cake with vanilla frosting; mine is chocoale cake with white frosting. At $2.00 each they are a tasty dessert without being overwhelming.

I love asking the staff questions here--they always have the answer, ranging from quick and precise, to lengthy and detailed, but still precise! I often look for specific wines I've tasted or read about and, if not available, they help me find the closest approximation.
I also like the Belgian beer selection, which keeps getting better, everytime I go in.

Oberweis is a great place to go for ice cream. I like this place because I think the ice cream isn't too sweet. It is rich, but with much less sugar.
It is extra creamy and wonderul. The inside eatery part has a very old fashioned ice cream parlor type feel to it so it is always a fun place to come and enjoy a good ice cream sundae with friends or family.
All the ice creams and treats on their menu are really great. This place is definitely a must visit.

Nuts on Clark is a great place to stop for some great treats. This place has great nuts and chocolates that you can buy in bulk. The best thing they have here are the chocolate covered cashes. The cashews are big and really tasty, while the chocolate is rich and sweet. This is also a good place to pick up a gift pack or box for somebody your having trouble shopping for!

I love potato pancakes and they have my favorite. Crispy and potatoey but not ultra greasy. The best ever!! Their sandwiches are overflowing with meat, and sometimes I like that too. If you're a fan of big portions you will love this place. I think that the prices are fair. One of the best delis in Chicago. They also have a location inside the newly renovated Midway Airport that is just as good, try it before a flight, Yum!!!! The staff is nice, but not always the friendliest, so I can't say that they deserve a perfect rating.

I now live in Virgina but I come home to Chicago, I MUST get some popcorn! I don't mind the line, I have been eating this stuff since I was 10 years old. I bring some back with me to VA and always have to hide a little stash for myself because my co-workers go crazy over it, not to mention my husband and son who eat theirs and come looking for more. The greasy bag is part of the ambiance of the place!

They are family owned and have been here for many years. They have a great variety of imported cheeses and meats. They have a small market; check out their preserves and jams which are first rate. The assortment of goods they have come from all around the world. Their stock includes home decorations, accessories, furniture, and chocolates and gourmet food. Some of the gourmet and international choclate tins they have here make great gifts for any occassion. Its even fun just to go in and browse around this store!

This is a great deli to stop into for some fresh bagel or bagel sandwhiches. Its actually a restaurant, but I usually just stop in here to grab a good, to go lunch. They have great assortment of bagels and all fo them are made fresh on the premises every day. You can either get a bagel sandwhich, but I usually go for an onion bagel with the garlic and herbs cream cheese, its so good! Give this place a try for some good, fresh-baked food.

Argo has a great tea selection, but they also serve Illy brand coffee--their lattes are better than Starbucks! Let me repeat: ARGO TEA'S LATTES ARE BETTER THAN STARBUCKS'!
The spinach quiche is divine, as is the rugalach.
They also are now using a "card" system for their tea club. Every dollar you spend equals 100 points; points add up to equal a free tea or coffee, and possibly food (I was only 1/2 paying attention to the cashier--he was too cute!).
