Having taken two rounds of guitar lessons and three rounds of wiggleworms with my baby, I can honestly say I can't think of any place I'd rather spend my hard-earned money! Each teacher I have had has been fantastic, and a true lover of both music and teaching.
Wiggleworms is fun for babies and parents alike. The teachers all seem to follow the same basic structure for the flow of the class, but change up the songs and games a little bit each week. If your reason for taking the class is to make mommy (or daddy) friends, you'll have to do it on your own time before or after class. Socialization of parents is discouraged during class, as the focus is on the children.
Guitar classes are fun and laid back. Depending on the room you're assigned to and how many people decide to show up or join your class as a make-up, it can feel a bit overcrowded at times. For the most part, though, class size was just right--big enough to hide if you haven't practiced enough, but small enough that you can get some individual attention from the teacher. Classes are nice and long too--about 90 minutes, followed by a short break and the Second Half sing/play along. After two rounds of classes, I can play and sing a nice selection of recognizable songs. Don't let the name of the school or the required song book fool you, you'll learn plenty of popular rock music!

I have been going to Glazed Expressions for years - I have watched the place morph from one store into a chain, and so I now have my pickings for creative paint your own pottery fun. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is usually helpful. Feel free to BYOB, creative inspirations, and friends. You can hold Bachelorette parties there, just plain Girl get togethers, or a date if both parties are willing and creative. Something different to do week nights - On saturday/sundays it is is usually pretty busy with kid parties - so call ahead. You can reserve a table for any time - and if you do not finish your piece in one shot, just take it home and bring it back when you can. Prices are reasonable, and gift certificates are available. If you have kids, they do have party packages available - and they have that party system down to a science. From first time artists to talented veterans, this is a great time.

I used this place a few years ago when I was trying to create a scrapbook for my wedding. It was really a neat store and they had a lot for me to choose from. They had all the materials you could possibly need to create a scrapbook for any occassion, including weddings, showers, vacations, etc. The lady that was working here at the time was really friendly and she gave me a bunch of ideas to create my scrapbook. I haven't been back since, but my wedding scrapbook is still one of my favorite creations!

You have probably seen the catalogue for this place; it offers all sorts of courses in everything from the conventional; ie, learn another language, to the unconventional. ie, learn to flirt.
It is a fun place to meet new people and learn new things. The last course I took here was a course by Barbara Sher about making a living doing what you love.
Barbara Sher was great, I found a new girl friend, and got some hints about how to improve my life.
What more can one ask from an afternoon?

I took a few classes here to enhance my computer skills. I sure learned a lot from these classes! It was really worth the time, because the teachers here gave really good instruction and I learned quite a bit. The student to teacher ratio is small here and all the teachers are friendly and and knowledgeable. They also had really great timings.

I hadn't touched clay since I was in 5th grade. I was told that clay repairs the soul and so I found Creative Claythings on-line. I signed up for the beginner 8-week class. Not knowing what to expect, I was nervous and unsure, but Mary and her staff really make pottery fun. I'm already starting to feel the benefits and more at ease. Plus, I have some great gift ideas. Everyone I have met at class, from beginner to intermediate, has been helpful and interesting. If you need a place to find a creative outlet or just need to find some inner peace...Creative Claythings is the place to hang.

Nancy's expertise derives from an eclectic background that includes: Yale Drama School, (Playwriting MFA) Second City & Columbia College (currently on both faculty rosters.)

This school has a preschool elementary in it. My husband and I looked into it for our son a couple of months ago. The lady we spoke to here was very friendly and showed us their classrooms. The rooms looked pretty good and well stocked with things for young children to learn and play with. We got to meet with a teacher as well and she seemed very friendly and passionate about her work. Overall, it seems like a wonderful option that my husband and I are defintely thinking about going with.

I've sent my children here on occassion for help on their schoolwork. The tutors are very professional and great at working with kids. My kids have always felt they have learned a lot from these tutors. I would like to send my children here more often, but they do charge high prices, so it's a bit difficult to afford on a daily basis!
