I'm not the biggest fan of red meat, but if I were, this would be my heaven. They do serve top quality with an upscale sort of snobby flair. It's not a romantic or ultra chic atmosphere. Instead, its a good place to go to show off your money to clients or employees, or a wallet-breaking place to treat those who are accustomed to money. It's expensive and delicious, especially if you enjoy steaks and such.

I had great expectations for Gibson's but I was a bit disappointed. The filet mignon I ordered wasn't very tasty - it didn't seem to be aged very well. The sides were very disappointing. I ordered the mashed potatoes and they were pastey and cold. Service was adequate, but nothing compared to establishments like Joe's Stone Crab. For the price you pay, you should expect more.

Gibson's has to be the nicest upscale restaurant in Gold Coast. This is the only place that I have been able to find cold water lobster served correctly in Chicago. The staff has a detailed knowledge of everything that they serve down to the mints up front. A little expensive, but you are definitely paying for what you get.

At first we had an issue with getting a table, the place is very popular, but my brother in law pulled some strings and got us a table for 7. My wife and I had the bone in ribeye, their specialty. I ordered mine medium and it was served rare. They corrected the mistake. The steaks were very good and large as are the sides. Only order one side per two people. Book a reservation early to get a good dinner time. Beware there will be tourist, but the steak is worth the wait.

This is the best steakhouse in Chicago. You need to try the rib eye. Its better than morton's or ruth chris or any of the others. Trust me I have tried them all.

this place is famous...great steaks...great service...and a price tag to match. If you are a lover of meat and want a great place to perhaps even catch a star doing a movie...try them out. we didn't see any ourselves, but it was nice to see all the people dressed-up nice and enjoying a spectacular ambience. It hurt to pay the tab, but it will be an experience I remember for a long time to come.

When I lived in the Windy City, if I had to impress someone, I always took them to Gibson's Steakhouse. The restaurant is located on trendy Rush street. The atmosphere is great, and the food is second to none. You pay a high price, but its worth it if you are into the very best. When you order your food they do the usual trick of bringing out raw wrapped versions of all of their steak cuts so you can seewhat you are ordering. They have a huge selection of sides, and give you everything you would want from a Steak House. Their may be a wait, but you can always hang out at the bar or go a few doors down to one of the Rush street hangouts.
