Shui Wah is a newer establishment in Chinatown. The Dim Sum served here is delicious and reasonably priced. Usually for a group of 4 it averages out to $10-15 and person. the food is ordered on a checklist and is brought out immediately when it is cooked. So things are very hot and fresh. Because there are no serving carts, it may be harder to order for those who have never had dims sum before. It is usually packed on the weekends due to the small number of tables so reserve a spot early.

Shui Wah restaurant is a newer dim sum restaurant in chinatown. It is a small restaurant with 10-15 tables. Expect to see lines on the weekends as the food is delicious. They are designed like more modern hong kong style dim sum restaurants , where you fill out a sheet with your order and the food is brought out immediately. Menus are in both chinese and english.

I have been here on a couple occasions for dim sum only because the one I usually go to has a long wait. Every time I have dim sum here I am disappointed. But, the dinner here is not bad. I like how they have specials like order 3 entrées get 1 free and such. They do have a big dining room, so that is a plus. The food is good and fast. Great value for the money.

If it is dim sum that you are looking for this is the place to eat it. Ever since I came to Chicago and a friend reccommended this place to me I have been doing the same. You can always relie on this place being good, fast, and fresh. Yes the wait on weekends is long, but where isn't it in chinatown? You don't have to deal with the clumsy carts to push food around, you just order off their menu and they bring it to the table. If you don't know what something is, the waiters can be of help. They are friendly and there to help you. The dining room is small, coming here in small parties is best. You can even share your table with others if there are no small tables around.
