Tru -ly exquisite

So back when my husband and I got engaged, he treated me to dinner at this restaurant. I don't think I will ever forget the experience. We had the grand tasting menu and each part of the huge meal was excellent. They used all of the freshest ingrediants and each item was prepared to excellence. Each course was also plentiful and included a bunch of different things to try. This is definitely a five star restaurant. Now then why have I not gone back since? Because its costs a whopping 200 dollars per person!!! Save this one for a special occassion!

I had the opportunity of dining at Tru while at a seminar in Chicago. Reservations are required as are jackets for men. The restaurant was simply outstanding. I had the chef tasting menu. While it is expensive (One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars - before tax and tip), it is also fantastic. There must have been at least 7 courses if not more. The food ranged from caviar to beef to a vast selection of cheeses to unbelievable deserts. This was truly a 5 star experience.
