This place may not look like much, and its pretty small, but it delivers. Great hotdogs, gyros, sausages, onion rings, and even soups! My favorite is the Chicken Fingers-they are perfect! The best part is the fries, fingers and rings are served in paper bags. You walk out with a bag full of food. Has a parking lot AND picnic tables!

The hotdogs at Byron's are great, as well as the burgers and other sandwich offerings. But the star for me are the fries. Byron's has some of the best fries I've ever had. Their onion rings are also outstanding. Another great feature about Byron's is that they have a parking lot, a rare occurrence in the city. The corn dogs are also delicious, as well as anything they put in that deep fryer.

I read recently in a Chicago guidebook that this place was one of the 100 places in the city one needed to go to before one dies. Now I know why. I stopped by on a whim one day last week and had what can only be described as a sublime experience. I ordered the jumbo dog with everything and got that and more! My dog came loaded with all the Chicago-style fixings (dog, bun, pickel spear, tomato, celery salt, mustard...). I don't know if they soak the ingredients in crack or what but the thing was DELICIOUS. I'm thinking about getting in my car and driving over there right now as a matter of fact. Anyway, it's worth a trip if you're in the city and looking for the ultimate Chicago dog. Yum.
