They had a rather cheap atmosphere, but good bread. I didn't really care for any of their soups. There chicken tasted dry and cheap and kinda stringy. There alfredo sauce was unique, but I think Olive Garden's is way better. Their's was very thin. They did have excellent shrimp though and I really enjoyed my shrimp fettucine with mushrooms in garlic wine sauce (custom order). For dessert I had Tiramisu. It was ok. The cheese part was excellent, but it lacked coffee flavor and needed more gooey chocolate and less powder cocoa.
Pros: Bread, Shrimp, Mushrooms, and Garlic Wine sauce were good
Cons: Ambience was terrible. Prices were high. 2 small meals for $50 with no drinks, just water. Food wasn't that impressive.

maybe my expectations were too high, but it was just ok. Not great. First for romance, not your place. Too bright, no ambiance, should put candles on the table and dim the overhead lights. As for dinner, I got a shrimp dish, pasta, a cream sauce'. It lacked flavor and was more like someone put cornstarch in broth. Then, it's great that it's BYOB but they charge you a fee for bringing wine and for having bread. Weird. I wouldn't go again or recommend.

I would not recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is truly italian. They allow you time to truly enjoy their extraordinary food. I eat fetticini alfredo at every italian restaurant I try, and I can say with out a doubt this was the best I've ever had. This coupled with the conveniance of a BYOB policy, makes this one of the best Italian spots in Chicago.

A low key comfortable setting does not require you to dress up very much. We had the grilled calamari, chicken, and seafood pastas. All excellent. The entrees come with either a soup or salad. Overall, a very nice and relaxing dinner at a reasonable price for the downtown area. We will definitely be revisiting. And we found out you can bring your own bottle of wine.
Pros: variety of choices, good value
