Good Cinnamon Rolls
Ann Sather's is just an okay place for breakfast. It is a very casual restaurant, where the servers are very friendly and welcoming. But I find their food to be just okay.
They have one item on their menu which is really worth going for here though. That is thier cinnamon rolls. Their cinnamon rolls are perfect. They are fresh made, warm, and gooey. They are just sweet enough.
This place gets really crowded so be prepared to wait a bit for those good cinnamon rolls.

Casual Breakfast
This is a family favorite for breakfast. This place is nice and casual and very kid-friendly. I like how such a casual environment serves up such delicious food. My favorite breakfast items here are definitely their crab, spinach, and cream cheese omelette with a side of their super delicious homemade cinnamon roles. Their food is always fresh and so delicious. The portions are great too, we can easily share with our children because there is so much. I wouldn't really recommend this place so much as a lunch or dinner spot. I've had two of their sandwhiches and both of them have been very mediocre. But for breakfast, this is a sure bet!

Great Breakfast Spot
I have been here several times for breakfast and I have always been very pleased with this great little restaurant. They serve up Swedish American fusion fare and their food is really tasty. Whenver I go here, I have one of their huge omelletes and cinammon rolls! The food here is fantastic, always fresh and piping hot. The service is great too. No matter how crowded or busy they are, you always get lots of attention and optimal service.

Ann Sather's
Ann Sather's is a fantastic restaurant in Chicago that blends traditional comfort foods with Swedish cuisine. The place is bustling for breakfast, when people pack the restaurant for their famous homemade cinnamon rolls. The omlettes are huge, and they also have some creative spins on eggs benedict. Service is friendly, and the atmosphere is casual. Prices for breakfast and brunch are in the $7-8 range, but include some huge sides.

Diner atmosphere with gourmet food
Ann Sather's is a cross between your favorite diner, your grandmother's kitchen, and an upscale bistro. I visited for breakfast/brunch, and even with a limited menu (it was New Years Day), I had too many choices to pick from.
Although everything at our table looked delicious, I think the cinnamon rolls stand out the most. They bring you two HUGE still-warm-from-the-oven cinnamon rolls as one of two given side items. Our meals were delicious, and I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup. With great service in a bustling, homey atmosphere, I am eager to go back for dinner.

Charming Swedish American restaurant
Ann Sather's is one of those places that you just keep coming back to. The food is great and the atmosphere is charming and uplifting. The service is consistently good too.
The theme is Swedish American. If you come for breakfast, they have great omelets and their dangerous specialty, cinnamon rolls. The coffee is good and for some reason as I am writing this I remember a lovely side dish of prunes.
Lunch and dinners are good too. You can try the Swedish meatballs or whatever else strikes your fancy and probably be pleased with the result.
Both this place and the one on Belmont has wonderful, colorful murals with Swedish folk themes.

Cinnamon rolls
The cinnamon rolls are good when eaten warm. This place is busy during brunch hours. Food is good. Easy to get to location. The one in Wrigleyville is right off the el. You can also take out their famous cinnamon rolls and eat it at home. Their menu food is good but I wouldn't say it is exceptional. Maybe the best Swedish food you can get around Chicago.

Great Cinnamon Rolls and Brunch
Anne Sather's is one of my favorite places for weekend brunch, and not just because they give you warm and delicious cinnamon rolls with your meal. They have a wide variety of dishes for a reasonable price, and I am particularly fond of the eggs benedict (crabcakes benedict, too).
At most of the Anne Sather's locations, however, you should be prepared for a wait if you go during weekend brunch hours.

BEST SWEDISH-AMERICAN FOOD
This resturant is one of my favorites, located near wrigley field, they have the best home cooked food...also sell bakery items like home made bread, and the yummiest cinnamon rolls...only open during breakfast and lunch hours...Resturant is always busy and packed with people, you might have to be seated for a couple minutes unless you make reservations ahead of time, but they do bustle and seat you as soon as possible...the food is worth the wait to me.

Go for the cinnamon rolls if nothing else
This is delish breakfast place in Chicago where the cinnamon roll portions are insane and worth having a doggy bag ready. Egg dishes are divine and creative and the atmosphere pleasant. A few locations in Chicago for your pleasure.
