Standard india restaurant is a simple but cozy place, A macca for VEGETARIAN & VEGAN customers, You can find plenty of choice in BUFFET ( Every Day) I really enjoy thier service and food, and the best part is price, I and my friends go there every week like a ritual, and we have found that thier kitchen is coordinated with customers traffic that the food on buffet table never sits more ther 1/2 hours, Some time we carry out food, as it is better and lowest price then any one else in neighorhood.

I am no expert on Indian cuisine, but I do enjoy the buffet dinner at Standard India Restaurant. You can start with a soup, salad, and breads, or dig right into the appetizer and entree selections. You can survive nicely even if you are a vegetarian. The desserts are usually rice pudding and these delicious doughy balls supposedly filled with cottage cheese.

Standard India Restaurant is exactly that. The food here is not extraordinary or unique, but neither is it abysmal and revolting. It's very mediocre fare at a reasonable price (so far as Indian is concerned.) The restaurant has pretty good service, but the environment is pretty low-rent. What they do have going for themselves is that they have a dinner buffet, which is very hard to come by. However, the cuisine is run of the mill and I question how long everything sits out under the heat lamps (it somesitmes looks to be baknig all day). Still, if you're not picky, it's conveniently located right next to the Belmont El and finding a dinner buffet is no easy task.
