I love sourdough bread and this place bakes a great sourdough bread everyday. I can go in and buy a whole loaf and they bake it fresh everyday. Their fresh bagels are amazing too. The cinammon crusted bagels are sweet and really soft and delicious. The sitting area of this place is always really crowded and it is hard to find a seat. But it is a nice place to come and enjoy the views of the area and they also provide internet so you can get some work done too.

Next time you are in kind of a hurry and don't have time to cook but don't want a fancy restaurant Panera is a good option. A rival of Corner Bakery this chain offers similiar soups and sandwiches, cakes, cookies and beverages. I don't recall C.B. selling bagels, I know they have breads. Panera's breads are very good and tasty, perhaps not as hearty as Corner Bakery but while C.B. emphises hearty and multi grain this chain is known for their sour-doughs and their baquettes. This location on Diversey is an incredibly popular location and has plenty of tables and chairs if you are fortunate enough to get one.

Panera Bread is one of my favorite lunch spots. This location particularly has a really cozy atmosphere, with great little sofas and lounge chairs. The food here is spectacular. It is both tasty and healthy for you. My absolute favorite meal here is their cheese and brocolli soup in a bread bowl followed by one of their delicious home backed brownies. The food is also affordable and very filling. This is also a great spot to hit up for coffee. They serve a great cup of joe and have lots of sweet treats to accompany your hot drink!

THis is a corner bakery style joint, but with much better quality food and service. They have delicious soups and great fresh sandwiches. The bread bow is good too, but you'll get more soup and pay less when you just order a bowl of soup with bread on the side. Panera is definitely a delicious choice for a quick lunch or snack.

Panera Bread is one of my favorite places to go for soup and sandwhiches. Unlike most shops, their soups are made fresh on a daily basis from scratch. Try the french onion or creme of brocolli - those are super delicious. Its a nice place to go and have a light meal and maybe even bring your laptop and surf the web. One thing you cannot miss out on here are the soup bowls; they come in a huge bread bowl that's edible too!
