This is a great place if you are looking to eat some good sushi. The decor of thies place makes it seem sophisticated and high class. For dinner, they have a great menu that includes cooked sushi and uncooked sushi too. It is not the best sushi in the city, but it is good sushi in a good location and atmosphere. I find it to be a bit on the higher priced side for sushi, but its not exactly so outrageous that it's unaffordable. It makes for a nice spot to have a quiet and elegant sushi dinner.

Rise Sushi Bar and Sake Lounge is a very trendy and upscale restaurant on Southport. We went with a large group and had to wait quite a while to get a table on a weekend evening. There's outdoor seating available during the summer months, so I bet crowds aren't as bad then. The food is very fresh, and while I'm not a huge sushi fan, I found plenty that I really enjoyed. There is also a full menu with everything from chicken to Thai dishes for those who don't like sushi. A bit too trendy for me, but a great restaurant.

We went to Rise for my friend's birthday and enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio. The inside looked sort of trendy and very crowded. The sushi was fresh and excellent. Our favorites were the spicy tuna and dragon rolls. They also have a a fabulous martini list. Average price for above average sushi.
