The Black Beetle is a great local corner bar. The music is not bad and they play a good selection but it gets very crowded, but if that is what you like then so be it.

I have to say that I went to the Black Beetle for a bloody mary this weekend and heard that they serve brunch items. I ordered an omelette of the day that was Outstanding. There was even a little cup of fresh fruit with it. Yes, strawberries, orange pieces and mango. It was not super fancy, but it was plentifull and looked and tasted great. The server was super fun and pretty cute. The red potato hash browns are awesome! I always thought this was just a rock n roll night time spot, but they have really added another element of surprise to the table. I stayed for about 3 hours when I was only planning on one bloody. I will definitely be back soon. Pros: Fun Cons: a little crowded at times

This is a rock n roll bar that has all the fiixins of a wild party and the best frickin burger I have ever had. The dstaff is very fun and the people that go in there are all nuts. At least when I have been there. Everyone gets reeally drunk and you never know what to expect when you walk through the doors. The girls are al laid back and not stuck up like Lincoln Park. Five Stars all the way. I wish I still lived in the city. I actually almost didn't take a job in New York because I thought I would iss this place too much. Defnitley a stape in the city.

I have been going to this restaurant for 3 years and every experience is great. They are always so polite. I have never waited for food or beer very long. The food is so good. I crave their food during the week. They have a TON of beer. Great brands that you have never even heard of and the staff always know how to explain it and know what to recommend. If you like going to relaxed places and hanging out all night, this is perfect. It's bar that you will want to be a regular at! Pros: good atmosphere, friendly, good food and beer.

This place has got 'em! A new, and very good, special every night of the week. Even specials on Jack Daniels (my boyfriend)! On top of that there always seems to be a pretty happening crowd, even on a week night. There is definitely a very diverse group of people here, hard to lump into any one category but very amusing to look at and watch!! The best way to describe the place is offbeat, but fun and welcoming, especially for the area. There's a pool table, and if you are in a band and have a CD or demo CD, there is one night of the week that they will play it there for you. I think it's Tuesdays. Whichever night Jack Daniels is on special. So just go every night until that night comes up.
